This Way Is Up

I am so immersed in this online world that my inspirations flit through my head in a second whenever I see something. For example this dress constructed from vintage fabric reminds me of Harlequin, Miu Miu, Viktor and Rolf, and most notably Eley Kishimoto's Fall 2008 collection. I followed up the thoughts by revisiting those collections and now have plenty of ideas on how to wear this dress into the winter.eley, kishimoto, runway, harlequin, fall, 2008, dress, circus, fashion, styleeley, kishimoto, runway, harlequin, fall, 2008, dress, circus, fashion, style

The picture set ups were fairly equally inspired by this image, this image (seen at Picked Picks) and the massive hill I posed on itself. It's funny the images look flat, but I was lying on an extremely steep hill and I nearly rolled down it multiple times.harlequin, vintage, reconstructed, fashion, style, dress, circus, runway, inspired, photoshoot, photo shoot, concrete, parking, lot, cement, arrow, style, theclotheshorse, the, clothes, horse, daily, outfit, personal, blogharlequin, vintage, reconstructed, fashion, style, dress, circus, runway, inspired, photoshoot, photo shoot, concrete, parking, lot, cement, arrow, style, theclotheshorse, the, clothes, horse, daily, outfit, personal, blogharlequin, vintage, reconstructed, fashion, style, dress, circus, runway, inspired, photoshoot, photo shoot, concrete, parking, lot, cement, arrow, style, theclotheshorse, the, clothes, horse, daily, outfit, personal, blogharlequin, vintage, reconstructed, fashion, style, dress, circus, runway, inspired, photoshoot, photo shoot, concrete, parking, lot, cement, arrow, style, theclotheshorse, the, clothes, horse, daily, outfit, personal, blog

  10. How I love that dress! With the shoes being so cute, I'd wear them 3 days in a row, too.

Very cool setting for your photoshoot as well. You must have a really good, steady tripod--I could sort of tell on the second picture (by the way the arrow is oriented) that you're on a slope, but if you haven't mentioned it, I wouldn't have paid attention.

  43. Lovely pictures as per usual. I'd definetly be scared to do poses like those on such a steep hill, but they came out great. Lovely print on the dress.

  44. ah whatever, the shoes look great on you! I think it's great that you don't feel you always have to wear heels because of your height, I know a few people who do and I kind of feel sorry for them because they look so uncomfortable. These flats in particular I think really work, it might be the cut or the color, but they're fab!

  45. Beautiful dress and beautiful set for your pictures! I recently bought an Harlequin inspired vintage dress but it's quite large on the bust so I'll have to resize it a little before I could figure out how to wear it!

  52. What a great photo shoot....don't worry about the shoes..I seriously have about 70 pairs and there are about 5 pairs that I constantly wear...the others feel left out :s...

  53. What fantastic colors. I really like the composition of your photos? Who takes them? I mean, I would assume it was you, but I can usually see most of your appendages in the photos and they are often too freaky of angles to accomodate a tripod.

  54. This dress is fanatastic! You look awesome, I love it.

  59. That's a really pretty outfit. Those shoes are lovely, and I can see why you'd want to wear them so often. At my end, I did some more shopping (I really MUST stop), and almost ended up buying one more pair of red shoes.

I can somehow see you so comfortably in the role of a fashion stylist. you are ever so resourceful.
