On the recommendation of many, I visited the Musee D'Orsay and truly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, you'll have to believe me through my descriptions as photography was not permitted there and I decided to not pretend ignorance of the dozens of signs displayed prominently around...After the museum we did some more classic Paris walking along the Seine, through Jardin des Tuileries, and right up to the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile. So, just another visually pleasing day in Paris...

Wow! Some fabulous photos! I know...I was at the D'Orsay last month and was shocked (and frustrated!) to find that no photos were allowed...such a pity because the space is so inspiring! I think this rule has only come into effect recently as I was also there a few summers ago and was lucky enough to click away at VanGoghs, Monets, and the large train station clock as I pleased. What an experience though! It looks like you are having an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteBubbs...

ReplyDeleteFound this and thought you would like!
I did not get to visit that museum when I was in Paris, but hearing you talk about it has definately made me want to go!
ReplyDeleteI really wish beautiful places like that let you take photographs. It's always so sad to me when they do not because you see all this gorgeous stuff, but have no way of remembering the specifices {if you are like me and go into sensory overload} without the pictures.
Still, it sounds like you are having a marvellous time and I hope it continues. ^__^
