I flew up to Portland, Oregon last week for a little visit of that fair city. It was kismet that the weather was cool enough for me to wear my new horse sweater on a day I ended up spotting tiny horses on the streets of Portland! Seriously, one of my favorite streetart sightings ever. These little toy horses were tied to old iron horse rings throughout the city by artist Scott Wayne Indiana. They're so cool and very fitting for my blog title--I'm tempted to continue the horse project in my own neighborhood!

I lived in Portland for six years, and I really loved spotting these horses all over the city. There was one in front of the last house I lived in before moving!

What a cute little discovery! And, you're right, perfect for your blog and your sweater!
ReplyDeleteLove the socks! I'm always worried that ankle socks will make me look even shorter, but you are rocking it and I know you are a shortie too! Maybe I will give it a try once the weather cools a bit. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThose horses are unbelievably sweet! Your top is lovely too, so many cute horses! Hope you had an amazing trip xo
ReplyDeleteCute sweater! I have a similar top that I picked up from F21 a while back, and it's so fun to wear. The horse project sounds pretty cool. My husband knows Scott Wayne Indiana, and is a big fan of his art projects. Very creative guy!

I used to live in Portland and this post has me missing it so much! I never realized all the little horse toys around town were all done by one person, I assumed it was a clever joke that had caught on years ago
ReplyDeleteI love that horse sweater. I might have to pick one up for myself. It's amazing.
