The little white dress is often lauded as a summer must-have, but it really can be a perennial favorite. I bought this vintage white dress years ago and it's become a classic piece of my wardrobe. It's a bit threadbare in places, the zipper really shows its age, and several of the seams need reinforcement, but I couldn't imagine parting with it and have yet to find a suitable replacement. A little white dress is just as versatile as a little black dress.
This is so beautiful! I'm too afraid to wear a white dress although I always see ones that I love.

I like it best with the half and half cardigan. Something so visually appealing about a white dress! :) You rock it, Rebecca! <3

Aw, I have a white dress that I bought for a Christening and I never wear it cos i'm scared of getting it dirty - i dunno why i haven't thought of pairing it with a jumper or whatnot.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a lot of white in my closet - I suppose I'm always afraid of spilling something, especially if it's a vintage item - but it really is so lovely and versatile. Maybe I need to get over my fear of spilling...:)

I agree completely! I have been on the hunt for the perfect white dress because they are just so versatile, but have yet to come across "the one." I love all of the ways you styled this little number :)

I always carry a tide to go pen with me just in case I spill anything on myself no matter what color I'm wearing. White dresses are even more versatile than little black ones in my opinion. Only because you can wear them day or night :] I love them to bits. Maybe you can get yours repaired by a seamstress or something so you can keep it longer?
ReplyDeleteHm, I've never thought of anything more classic than a LBD, but your blog has totally opened my eyes to red dresses and a little white dress! I can't wait to rummage through my local thrift store to get some finds like yours.

@Jacqueline, good call on the tide-to-go. I don't have a seamstress/tailor, but I can sew so I can fix it up whenever I stop being too lazy to...
ReplyDeleteYes! I love this dress whenever you wear it. It always reminds me that I want one, too. Although I think they look better on girls with dark hair than blondes like me.
ReplyDeleteI love this and it reminds me just how much I love your pixie cut! I LOVE IT!
