Take My Picture

Take My Picture is a mini-documentary about the popularity of street style blogs and the hordes of photographers swarming every fashion week. Fashion editors seem annoyed by the trend while simultaneously ignoring that many of the most documented individuals for "peococking" are editors (Taylor Tomasi Hill and Anna Dello Russo are two street fashion favorites that pop to mind). Still, it's a very interesting video showing the madness outside of a show and hearing opinions from editors, photographers, and bloggers alike. Whatever your final opinion you can't deny that street fashion photography is re-shaping the way people view fashion.

  1. "People gravitate towards glamour." Pretty much sums it up.

  2. I watched this video a couple of weeks ago and was struck by the attitude about street style...

given that many people have made their names famous because of street style photogs, and the fact that photogs and, as you pointed out, even editors are guilty of perpetuating the trend, there's no telling whether street style will let up any time soon.

  3. Man, I haven't been to a fashion week since 2010 and I don't remember the street style photogs being that numerous! So crazy.
