Bookish

Libraries are still one of my favorite places. When I was a kid my mother used to limit the number of books I was allowed to check out each week (I believe the limit was 7). By her logic I couldn't keep straight of more books than I could carry out on my own. It seemed to work since I never really marred my record with a late return until I was much older. The best part though had to be the summer reading programs--I was once participating in one that allowed me to earn personal pan pizzas. Free reading in exchange for pizza? I wish that deal was still available for adults...But I suppose nowadays we must content ourselves with knowledge for knowledge's sake, or if you're more interested in science fiction (like myself) then entertainment for entertainment's sake. Although I do need to read more on Irish history and folklore.

I remember when I was part of a summer reading program…I can't remember what we got as a prize, probably a free ice cream at the local shop…good times!!

Love this dress! And I remember summer reading programs! We used to have a huge cabinet full of prizes that you got enter in a drawing for if you finished your reading. I remember winning a really cool remote control airplane one summer :) The Field Guide to Stars and Planets looks super fun too!

Oh I loved summer reading programs! Your title made a random memory pop into my brain. I was picking up my college ID card and some lower classman (pshaw) working at the front desk was commenting on each person's photo before handing it over. He got to mine and said "a little brainy, but cute" as if those two things were opposites. Hahaha. I kind of think they're one in the same! :) Also, my friend thought that was merely his feeble attempt at flirting, which is probably true, and maybe I should've given him a break (but I didn't.) :D
So hope you enjoyed this random story!

I always envy your ability or privilege to shoot outfit pics in libraries and whatnot. I've always wanted to do that but never managed to do so....

I LOVE going to the library! Everyone thinks it weird that I go there but maybe it's because the city libraries are full of the homeless and sketchy people. I still get my books there though. These are super cute photos and great dress!

I remember that particular reading program. I believe I earned myself a few of those personal pan pizzas if I remember correctly.
