This dress is a such a perfect 40s style piece that I couldn't resist pairing it with my saddle shoes--it just looks like something I ought to be swing dancing in. Not that I can swing dance. A number of my friends can and even go to swing dancing clubs, but I've always been nervous about getting thrown around by an overzealous partner. Anyway, definitely a fun retro look for a hazy Saturday.

Outfit details:

ReplyDeleteI love Lindy Hop! I want to dance in an outfit like this, for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! Those shoes are perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I took some swing dancing classes! It was super fun....but I wouldn't say dancing is our thing haha ;)
Cute outfit! I love the shoes, and they go great with the dress.
ReplyDeleteAnd swing dancing is fun, you should go with your friends one night :) I took a class in college, and was in my school's swing club for a year. Once you get the basics down, it's not too hard.
I love the Edie bag! so timeless. I also love the saddle shoes on you and others, but I don't feel bold enough to wear them myself. For some reason they make me nervous!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is just so adorable! I really love the pattern - so pretty!

oh yes!! and still do, if you ever wanna try again!! and those over-zealous partners are definitely dangers to beware... though lately i've been into blues dancing (rather less dangerous) and bringing out the sultry side. of course, it's almost impossible for me to escape the "you're a lindy hopper, aren't you?" question. just too much swing in me!
