My First Collection: Sneak Peek #1

For the past few months I've been working on my first clothing collection! Some people might remember the dress I designed with a friend back in 2010, but this is the first time I've had the chance to work on a capsule collection. I've designed three pieces--a skirt, a shirt, and dress--based off of one of my favorite vintage dresses using modern fabrics and the coolest map print. My love of map prints is pretty much as deep as my love of vintage styles! I've been working with Trunkist, a company based in Texas to produce the clothing which will be available by pre-order later this month. Today I'm sharing a little sneak peek at the collection through a collaboration with one of my favorite artists Maelle of Cirque de papier. I first followed Maelle on Instagram and I love her illustration style; her pieces have so much personality in them! Her figures seem so bubbly and her love of fashion is evident in her drawings featuring everything from Haute Couture to Taylor Swift's outfits from her music videos--and now my little collection! In the next few weeks I'll be sharing more teasers and information about my collection, for today I hope you enjoyed these lovely drawings by Maelle!

How exciting! I am very looking forward to see the collection. Congratulations sweet Rebecca! I love all the things that make your style unique: the vintage, maps and a little bit of je ne sais quoi :) This sneak peek with Mauelle's drawings is adorable! Crossing fingers it will be available for international orders <3

This is amazing!! I absolutely love that you've created three very versatile pieces that mix and match together really well, and can be incorporated into an existing wardrobe really easily too.

The illustration style is gorgeous-- too! Love the details in the oxfords that you usually don. ;)
