Do you ever have one of those days where everything seems to go wrong?
Then as you struggle to fix things or correct your path things just get worse? The type of day where eventually you say the only thing to be done is to go to bed and hope everything is better in the morning. Well these pictures were taken on one of those days. I didn't really like the pictures either because they sort of reminded me about how everything went so poorly, but that's the thing about pictures snapped in a few brief minutes: they tell an incomplete truth. You look at these images and things seem pretty ok; I've got a decent outfit on, my hair isn't looking too crazy, the sun's out, etc. But aside from the pictures I was pretty much in pieces all day. So don't let the images deceive you; good days and bad days tend to look almost exactly the same in outfit pictures. I'm not the sort of person to share every sort of complaint with the internet, but there should be a balance sometimes--a reminder that although a blog tends to be sunshine and rainbows, everyone has their bad days.
P.S. If you're having a bad day, maybe some jewelry will turn it around! I'm giving away $100 store credit to The Crystal Cave shop on my Instagram. All of her jewelry is handmade with beautiful stones and metalwork detailing with vintage inspiration. It's awesome to be able to work with people who create such beautiful work and I'm excited to be able to share some of that work with you! Do give her shop a look if you're in the market for a new piece of jewelry and want to support a hard-working artisan. I know how hard it is to make money doing what you love, so I really appreciate opportunities like this when I can support and share creators as they're starting out and growing their business.
