I think I'd enjoy living on the water...like in a houseboat, but only for about a year. It wouldn't be on the ocean (or Puget Sound as pictured below). Instead, I would live on a river. Then, if I ever had to escape the long arm of the law, I would pull up my anchor and let the current tow me away...

If you want to live on a houseboat on a river, you should come to the Netherlands. I actually know a student from my school who lives on a houseboat. From what I know, it's pretty cool :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that bag. I need one just like that, but I am too picky when it comes to bags, there are just too many styles I don't like and I am not a bagperson in general.
i remember wanting to live in a boat for a while when i was a kid! there's something so freeing about being able to just move whenever you wanted and not be tied down to one place (: i love your jacket, tights and shoes! you look great as always!

My boyfriend bought a small house boat 2 years ago for just that reason. I was SO excited. He sold it within 2 weeks because he was too seasick to sleep on it. :( He crushed my summer dreams.

ReplyDeletei love the black military jacket from h&m. this is an awesome outfit. well done!
ReplyDeleteliving in seattle, its surprising the number of people i know who live on boats (some on legit house boats, others on actual boats). i guess water does surround the city, and in some cases its much cheaper to live on the water instead of the land. i fantasize about it too.
ReplyDeletei love how you matched the gold hues of the scarf with the gold accents in your outfit. i like to do this with all black outfits at well.
and just why might a nice girl like you need, to escape from the law??? hehehe makes me very curious ;D
ReplyDeletelove the outfit! and your gif. i've decided to dub you "the gif master" (picture that being said in an echo-y, athoritative voice)

You have a wonderful father for giving you such a pretty scarf! Your pictures are always so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLiving by the water has so many different moods. It's lovely to look out across the sea (or the Sound) on a grey winter's day, and despite the open space, you feel incredibly close to you own thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI love houseboats!! Whenever I get to go to a harbor that has houseboats, I always gravitate towards them because they're just so... magical! It's the perfect little hobby home with lots of room for randomness and creativity! *sigh :)
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor shots, angles, colors, outfits and words have such an amazing presence. You blog is immaculately designed and your voice is so uniquely your own. Lovely lovely lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so perfect in every way! Adorable!

Not only do I love the outfit (esp your jacket and shoes), as well as the beautiful setting in these photos, I'm also loving the John Masefield quote!
