Taking pictures in blizzard-like conditions is ill-advised...actually doing anything other than lazying about indoors while wrapped in blankets is not recommended. Our poor little dogs are also suffering; the snow is too fluffy to hold their weight and they're too small to keep their heads above the drifts! To whomever requested a white Christmas, I blame this on you. I didn't add a special "snow effect" to these pictures; this is literally how they came out with the camera trying to figure out whether to focus on individual flakes or blur the snow and occasionally focus on me. The snow came down all day and into the night, until the drifts reached past my knees.

Cute outfit--I'm glad you braved the elements. Your umbrella is just too cute! I have a plain, clear bubble umbrella, but I may also need one like yours!
ReplyDeletein france, people are always using umbrellas to brave the snow.
ReplyDeleteat first i thought it was weird, now i think it might be logical.
yours is pretty, in any case/

It was my fault, I kept on wishing for a white christmas. Now I'm trapped indoors thanks to the snow. Guess I wished too hard. Loving the fishes and butterflies in the snow though. :)
ReplyDeletehope you're staying warm!
oh no! it's that dreaded snow you were talking about!! I was loving your snowless pictures, they were making me think I wasn't trapped in a snowy abyss for a few minutes. You look slightly annoyed at it! hehe
ReplyDeleteShy
Oh my! You must have been freezing! We've had similar snow and I wouldn't have even though about braving the condition for an outfit post. I respect you for that! The pictures have turned out really nice :)

ReplyDeletethe snow may complicate things, but it sure does make your photos look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's been snowing like crazy in Belgium too, although it seems to have calmed down since christmas, finaly! I keep slipping and falling on the ice, I've kind of had it with the snow by now!
ReplyDeleteSo brave of you to go out in this weather, but I like the outcome! It's a beautiful dress you're wearing.
Wow, this is one of my favourite outfits of yours - ever! I love everythign about it, from the beautiful dress to this quirky cardigan to the lovely umbrella! Could you please pack it all up and send it to me? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously I love the natural snow effect in the photos! Wish my camera could handle the weather like yours.
Great umbrella! I love the animal combination in your outfit today.
ReplyDeleteWoah! Where have your ankles gone?
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dress, its lovely and your umbrella is adorable.
that is gorgeous i love the 1st picture and how it looks sort of blurry. its so creative.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of funny how you're mixing so many animals together in this outfit: butterflies, goldfish, and the bird on your brooch. I wear similarly seasonally inappropriate outfits all the time. I've never heard of using an umbrella in the snow, but then again I'm from the Pacific Northwest, where you're looked at with derision if you use an umbrella in the rain.

I've always loved seeing this dress appear on your blog. It looks as beautiful as ever photographed in the falling snow.
ReplyDeleteWell that is impressive to have taken photos in that weather! It looks so so cold! I love your dress, and it is such a lovely pattern x x
ReplyDeleteYour umbrella is lovely! x
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read the Hunger Games? If so I would love to see your interpretation of the mockingjay.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, you've now made me feel obliged to go outside, if even for a minute. Since it's almost below cero I am not grateful ... yet.

That's so sad that your dogs are having trouble in the snow.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying the natural "snow effect" that the weather created for you.
