Normally I take pictures inside the trains, but I thought it would be nice to show a different angle of them, so this is what they look like from the outside. I'm not as adventurous as some when it comes to exploring abandoned places; I'm no urban explorer or whatever they are calling themselves these days--but I do enjoy the decay of a forgotten place. In Washington State there was an old army bunker I found on one of my drives around the range roads. Obviously, in Virgina I've been enamored with these trains. I don't know what I'll find in Pennsylvania yet, but I have a couple of friends promising to join me on my excursions so hopefully we'll discover some interesting spots. It's funny how moving on to new places makes you nostalgic...

Wonderful photos! That's a beautiful dress! I think you'll find plenty of trains in PA. It's where I grew up and there were plenty everywhere I went. That's how I grew up loving them.

Pretty dress!
ReplyDeleteAgreed with M. said about trains- what part of PA are you in?
I love the dress, anything with galaxy print gets me.
ReplyDeleteHave you used a filter over these photos? I would love to know how you created this effect because it looks just wonderful.

that cosmic print is perfect with the foggyness of these pictures. Did you create that with Photoshop or was it already like that? Love it! :)

@Chloe, @WearAbouts yeah I played around with them in editing (I don't normally). There's a couple of different filters and some light-leaks applied. It's hard to describe b/c each was treated a little differently.
ReplyDelete@Rose Eva, I'll be near Lancaster. I just don't know if I'll find an abandoned sleeping car or eating car train--those are so rad on the inside and normally I just find box-cars.
ReplyDeletei adore your dress! nice pics! :)

I'm always inspired to just drive around and snap outfit shots by myself, but have yet to venture out due to my allergies. But I do love the edit and feel of these photos

I love exploring abandoned places (not an urban explorer though....not urban!) but there are a lot things while exploring that I tend to get nervous about .... Still, like you are here, it's a fun juxtaposition between new clothes and old places.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress, and I love how you took these photos from a different angle! I've been wondering, what part of Washington State did you live in? I've lived there all my life! :)
ReplyDelete@Berit, in junior high I actually lived in Puyallup, WA. Two years ago though I lived in Fort Lewis.

ReplyDeletelovely picture with awesome dress.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is amazing! I love the galaxy print! In fact...I am in the middle of making myself a few DIY galaxy items. I am going to start off with making a shirt and if that turns out well, I will make a dress and some shorts. I figured since I couldn't find the galaxy dress I wanted, I should just make my own. Make it more personalized!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is just so cool! I love the galaxy print. Great setting for the pictures too. I like seeing the outside of the trains!
