My friend Jon has been telling me about this abandoned theme park for a couple of months now. With my love of abandoned things it was on the top of my list of places I had to go when I finally moved up to Pennsylvania. We ignored the no trespassing signs, but were a bit unnerved by them so our visit was a brief one. Still it was worth it to see the decaying old roller coaster being consumed by spring and so many green things. I hope to visit it again another day and explore a different corner of the park.

I love abandoned things, too! There's a ton of abandoned old buildings around where I live, but I'm always kind of too chicken to go inside. I'll have to be a little more adventurous in my urban exploration!

Wow, what a wonderful backdrop! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I'd dare walk on the 'ruins' though, I'd probably be way too afraid of them collapsing under me.

ReplyDeleteI really love your pictures lately, Rebecca. Somehow they feel even more 'personal', if that makes any sense...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that I'm not the only girl walking around in warm tights, we're having a very slow spring this year in Italy!
By the way, I've been watching all your vlogs on tumblr last night, your lovely voice and interesting answers kept me great company while couldn't sleep, thanks for that ;)

Ah! These pictures are so beautiful! I love them! My love for them is probably fueled by both my love for abandoned spaces and for lovely clothes. I especially love the photo with the roller coaster seats. I enjoyed looking at the photos and your outfit is great! Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous shots. There's an abandoned amusement park in my hometown and I love to visit, though most of the rides and equipment have long since been carted away.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what an amazing (and creepy) place! I'd LOVE to visit it for a while. And you look perfect, I'm so envious of your cardigan.
ReplyDeleteLife is a romantic poem
These are awesome! I'd love to hang out there. And you're so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you go on adventures to take your outfit photos. Every photo looks kind of like a frame of a story or something, and this abandoned park looks so cool.
ReplyDeleteWoah, that first photo is INSANELY cool!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are so amazingly cool! What an awesome place to take pictures. It's so unique and haunting, yet fun. I just love this post so much!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I know exactly where this park is! I live pretty close to it and grew up going there during summers as a kid. I'm pretty sure I have photos of myself on the kid coaster there from way back stashed away somewhere. I didn't even realize it was now defunct! These photos are incredibly beautiful and haunting. Now I'm all kinds of curious to take a peek there myself. PA has so many places like this, you will soon find out. My neighborhood is set right next to an old defunct amusement park as well.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing all the places you will stumble across:) xx Marisa
Gosh!! this place is awesome!! so are you too, places like this are a rare find <3 you worked it girl!!
ReplyDeleteI have quite an obsession with carnivals, fairs, and theme parks. And abandoned ones? Sigh... Such a beautiful backdrop for photos. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is possibly the absolute best location for outfit pictures and lots of exploring! I adore your photo backdrops! In London, rare are the abandoned places that you can access easily enough, and anyway rare are the abandoned places altogether! It's a shame, it is probably my all time favourite things, to wander round abandoned places, thinking about it's history and enjoying the quietness that comes with decaying spaces... x

oh wow, I hope you'll take more pics here in the future, it's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I would love to visit there!
