I'm up to my old tricks--playing with smoke bombs that is. Since summer heralds the season of roadside firework stands and even your local superstores start to carry sparklers I couldn't resist getting a few more smoke bombs to experiment with. A little warning to anyone looking to play with these themselves: they smell completely awful. However, I'm willing to put up with a number of discomforts in order to experiment with photography.
These pictures are so cool, the bad smell was definitely worthy! Love the super 8 and the touch of the temporary tattoo. Wonderful colors of you outfit+hair+pictures :)
i normally dont like firecrackers, smokers, etc. but i agree, tot. worth it for these pics. they are stunning!! i esp love the one of the lake and the one where you're almost covered. really beautiful shots. did you do a lot of editing to change the colors here? oh, and super adorable dress per usual : ) My blog: Cuddly Cacti My E-Shop: Mitla Moda
@Dus, thank you! Almost no editing--we shot at dawn so we had soft light and then two different colors of smoke kept coming out--because the smoke from lighting the wick was white/grey and it lingered and then the smoke bombs had their own orange-y color. :)
I love these shots! I really wish smoke bombs (and firecrakers) were legal in Australia but sadly they aren't :( I saw this the other day and thought of you and your smoke bombs... http://becauseimaddicted.net/2013/08/pop-by-irby-pace.html

ReplyDeleteIs that a new tattoo? or just a temporary one? (or I guess have I just been not very observant?)
