Outfit: Inside A Neglected Walled Garden

I started taking the pictures for this post by myself, mostly outside this little neglected wall garden, posing against the broken gate.
Thomas was elsewhere in the park fishing and I kept peeking wistfully at the cherry blossoms beyond the gate, but respected the walls too much to venture inside...until several people walking their dogs did step through the gap in the gate and stroll leisurely around the garden. Eventually I worked up the courage to follow their lead and also wander around inside. It's clear no one is tending this garden, a former pond is a tangle of weeds, but it's still quite lovely in spring--nature needing no man's hand to thrive and bloom. It reminded me quite a bit of The Secret Garden.

Don't these pieces look perfect together? I got this little sweater top from Unique Vintage (because in Northern Ireland every season is sweater season) and wasn't sure what I was going to pair it with when this new skirt by Space 46 Boutique arrived the mail. Match made in heaven! I have a few tulle skirts now, I can't resist the drama of them, but I think this new style and color might be my favorite one yet. It's from their soft tulle collection which is every bit as romantic as a normal tulle skirt, but a less full silhouette that makes it more wearable. The color is also a refreshing shift from my usual girly pink skirts or bridal white one. It works well now in spring with this pale blue, but can't you also see it in autumn paired with a little leather jacket, tights, boots, and the same beret?
