This is a remix post, but part of me seems to be stuck in repeat. Last year around this time I bought a sleeveless little black dress from UO and I wore it to death (literally, it's rather faded now). This year, I just bought an incredibly similar little black dress from UO and have already worn it twice (here and here). Little black dresses are rather notoriously easy pieces to wear and style, so this remix wasn't much of a stretch! Still even when an item is easy to wear, it's nice to find different ways to wear it and keep it feeling fresh.

I really like all these remixes. If you didn't post them together like this, I wouldn't guess they were all with the same dress.
ReplyDeleteI also really love the horse socks :)
love it with the crown and sparkly shoes... adorable!
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the first one, the denim vest and the belted scarf look. It's fun to put all the looks together and see the versatility :)
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf in the first post, and I'm pleased to see an appearance from your equestrian socks ;D Those sparkly shoes are something special...
ReplyDeleteA girl can never have too many black dresses, despite what people tell you. They're just classic pieces.
Inspiring, as always.
i love the remix posts.
ReplyDeleteim a big fan of the look with the old gold boutique scary and the crown--very cool!

Love those posts like this. Really good ideas for mixing the same basic always different. Like all your matches. Especially the first one with that turban-like headband.
ReplyDeleteI love how you styles all the looks so differently! :) my faves are the last one with the red cardigan, the one with the scarf and the shoes from the first look! :) awesome styling keep it up!
ReplyDeletethey're all fabulous. thanks for the inspiration. i think you could seriously make a career out of being a stylist.
ReplyDeleteI love when you do these, because it inspires me to head into my closet and try everything to see if it looks cute! :)
ReplyDeletei just LOVE when you do remix posts! you're so good at making an item look totally different in each photo. i think my fav is the one with the white lace layered over the dress. i also love the dress all by itself- it's a perfect shape. i think it might be a seasonal fashion rut time, because i've been the same way lately- wearing a few items all the time. this post makes me want to try making it a little less obvious though! ~joelle
ReplyDeletenice outfits! very fresh

The belted scarf look and the horsey sock look are my favorite of these. Not that I don't love them all. But these two especially. The belted scarf look is just so perfect with the striped top! Wow. Love it.

They're all so great, I can hardly choose a favourite. I do really like the simple look of the first one. But then, I am a sucker for head scarves.
ReplyDeleteLoving all of these looks! So so great
ReplyDeleteI would have never known one dress could take so many shapes. Thanks to your creative genius. :0

ReplyDeleteYour remixes are one of the things I love most about your blog.
ReplyDeleteI love how you wear dresses as skirts and tops as well.
I always try to, but it never looks right. How do you pick what pieces will work with your dresses to make them into skirts/shirts?
Belle
you are totally inspiring me to remix my black dresses.. i have too many in my closet and somehow i feel that i have a hard time styling them to look different each time.

Aww you look so regal with the crown and sparkly shoes! (:
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting to see that after years of low waisted items of clothing (inc. but not limited to jeans which showed the underwear), the high waist is back in fashion.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, it's all about the accessories, really! They make the outfit, don't they?
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteStunning outfits!
ReplyDeleteI love items of clothing like this! It's always very deceiving; it's possible to go out every day looking like you've bought a completely new outfit, but infact it's just a clever recreation of an old classic. I love all of these, especially the first vintage yellow cape!
ReplyDelete♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
