I always forget how bright things can get in the winter; especially when the ground is covered in a blanket of pure snow. Wearing my glasses instead of sunglasses was not a well thought-out plan, but somedays I just can't be bothered with contacts. I actually need to start purchasing more eyeglasses so I can change them as frequently as I change my shoes...or so I can at least have more than one pair!
Outfit details:

ASOS navy pleated dress
secondhand belt
Target tights

You look great with those glasses! Maybe you should wear them more often just to change things up a bit. I like the colors of your outfit, and that plaid shirt adds a excitement to it all! Funny gif, too. It looks like you're flying!
ReplyDeleteWow, those boots must be water tight! I don't have stylish boots I'm willing to walk around in snow. I only have ugly Ugg-like Timberlands.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sad.
xx,
Mae Lu, @ thereafterish.
I feel the same way about my glasses - I want to be able to switch them out at whim and have multiple colors and styles. Lately I have been wanting a pair of prescription sunglasses but I think my vision may be to poor for such a luxury (at least in the pair I really want). Too bad poor eyesight isn't a cheaper ailment, no?
ReplyDeleteI love pictures taken in the snow. These are really fun.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about glasses. I only have one pair of slightly hipster-ish glasses. I like them but they sort of only provide one look.
love the snow..
ReplyDeletewe had a big snow storm in nyc and i'm loving it..

Glasses can be very cute. on you anything and everything is! And I mean that.
ReplyDeleteCrazy flying gif!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's simple, but I love the top (or dress I guess) under the other dress. Sometimes those buttoned-up looks are just so clean..
what perfectly simple dress! I need more basic items like that in my wardrobe
ReplyDeleteadoreable hair color. great!
ReplyDeletegreetings
Love this! you look so scholarly!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had snow here! so pretty
I love this outfit !

Haha, I love the gif of you :D I think I'm in need of some new glasses too, but yours look nice!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me so much of your old outfit posts, circa 2009, which I love dearly. It's the mixing of the pieces, patterns, layering, & colours that do it for me. Wine & khaki, only you can do it girl.
ReplyDeleteLove the plaid shirt peeking out from the dress, your tights + socks combo.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so great and beautifully school uniform-ish. I know exactly what you mean about the glasses, loads of pairs to go with everything would be great! Right now, if I can't get my contacts in, I feel like I have to dress a certain way- I find them quite stifling stylistically. But then again if I had a cat's eye pair as well this problem wouldn't be so bad!
ReplyDeleteYou have such an exquisite fashion taste, really really lovely :) x
ReplyDeleteDo you know about Zenni Optical? They sell lots of glasses (frames and lenses) for suuuuper cheap. Like sometimes $8! My friend has a bunch of pairs and loves them. http://www.zennioptical.com/
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I want a pair of green socks now. I love the photo of you jumping. You put so much effort into your blog and it is great because of it! Thanks for sharing!

hawaii was SO BEAUTIFUL!! i cant believe you got to live there for an extended period of time.
ReplyDeletei also cant believe you are sitting in that snow! BRRR!
Hi Rebecca, i'm a new follower. Saw your blog through littlest polly. Your pictures make me miss the snow. The jumping one reminds me of a film by one of my favorite animators Norman McLaren - Neighbors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
Love Elia
Wow, it seems like only two weeks ago you went barelegged in your pictures! Anyway, I love snow and I love your outfit, you look so adorably retro :)

Such a cute look! I love the socks peeking out from the tops of your boots.
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors of this outfit. The shirt sticking out of your dress is so cute!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
I have about 12 pairs of glasses (to match every outfit). My dream was realized when I found you could purchase glasses online for 1/10 of what you would pay otherwise. I have always used goggles4u.com and it has been a dream come true. green glasses with my green tights? yes please!
ReplyDeleteyou're flying in the gif!! :)
ReplyDeletecan't believe you were posting at a sunny beach a few weeks ago!!
You look great in your glasses! They have so many advantages, I don't need them but I sometimes wish I did, in fact I'm fairly certain that my lucky pair of plain glass ones helped my pass an exam.

I love your tight and sock combination
ReplyDeleteThe colours of this outfit are beautiful
I came to comment to tell you about a website I get glasses from but someone beat me to it! I have I think 6 pairs of glasses from zennioptical.com and I really like them. They've recently changed their website and I haven't checked it out yet, but I would definitely recommend them. All of them I've purchased have been $8 and they are pretty good quality. Better than some I've gotten at the eye doctor before. You should definitely check it out!
ReplyDeleteCan you actually use the boot pockets? If so, those boots win at life. I could hide so many little things in those pockets!
ReplyDeleteThose tights and socks--too cute.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you brought all the colors together!
