Pale But Not A Ghost

The world might be fading away in blanket of grey fog and rain, but despite moody weather I'm quite thrilled to be boasting light layers and bare legs. For a fleeting period of time it felt like spring in January. In Washington state I would sometimes wake up to the sounds of bugles or canon shots, here in Virginia I was woken up by the sound of fog horns...neither are bad ways to start the day.

  3. What a perfect dress. I love when you match so nicely with your surroundings!

Random side note: when I wake up I usually look at my few top favourite blogs. It was 8:55 here when I clicked yours and thought "oh they're wont be a new post for 5 more min" 9:00 rolls around and theres a new post! Another thing I like about your blog is the reliability.

We got the same weather here, briefly. It was so great to go tightsless even just for a bit.
I think you'll be getting more similar weather to me now that you're in Virginia (and I'm in NC) ... this will be good for stealing ideas from you! :p

  15. I love your trench, its so whimsical like something out of an English garden. And bare legs!? wow, I can only dream. Come April hopefully?

Thanks for your comment on my last 'new years resolutions' post. I agree, figuring out what you want to do with your life is quite the ominous task and even if you think you know where you're going in the future things can definitely change. I just want to find some sense of direction this year, even if temporary. I became really apathetic about everything last year and its time to rejuvenate my life and find some sort of focus. Even if the eventual goal changes, I want to have something in mind.

  18. These photos are so gorgeous. They look like something from a magazine or a catalog than a blog. This is the second post I've seen today with a beach theme, it's making me want to head for the shore despite below freezing temperatures.

  25. How EXQUISITE it must be to be experiencing a bit of spring in such a normally dreary month. Everything about the fog along the shores you've lived near is so magical. I always describe your photography and scenery as magical, but it all truly is.

The outfit you've chosen here and the scenery seems like a caricature of a Miyazaki film, or a happier version of something like I Capture the Castle. I just keep waiting for a castle or some ancient ruin of some sort to sprout up on the near horizon for you to climb onto and wave at us with a handkerchief.

    Lovely.

  39. @Anonymous, yeah they're not on Gilt anymore (but they do come back) & I didn't list the brand b/c I'm wearing multiple brands. Some are by Wendy Mink & I forget the name of the other ones...haha, another reason I didn't list the brands!
