One of my favorite dresses and one that I've worn more times than I care to count (I took it with me on my study abroad to Greece, so there was definitely a lot of remixing from living out of a suitcase for 3+ months), is this plaid shirtdress from Urban Outfitters; bought 3 years ago now. I find shirtdresses the easiest wardrobe item to remix. This dress also was in one of my favorite outfit pictures of all time (see above) and used to be part of my header image. Sometimes the outfit and nature work together to create that one perfect photograph. The daisies in that field only lasted around a week...

ReplyDeletestudied abroad in Greece! awesome! What did you study over there?
ReplyDeleteThe field shot is amazing, but the one of you on the hill on the rock with the sporadic tree in the back ground looks fake! it's amazing!

Hi!!! I've been a fan of your blog for a looong time and I have never commented. Well, I'm constantly impressed by your sense of style and indeed you are awesome and very inspiring and I'd really like to meet you some day in person. Needless to say that all these pics are incredibly beautiful and unique in your own amazing way!
ReplyDeleteSo, I decided to leave a comment today, because I read something that I don't think you have ever mentioned before... You studied in Greece? What did you study? And that means that you can speak Greek?? If yes 'eisai iperoxi kai poli omorfi' :)
Thanks for the Inspiration and I to can TOTALLY Relate to some of the quality points here. This gorgeous dress is Awesome! Bought one of these vintage similar only last year, hoping to get some mileage out of it.
ReplyDelete@hattitude and @Demy, I mostly took business classes when I was in Greece because that was my major! I took a Greek language course, but unfortunately it didn't really stick (I kept mixing it up with Japanese, which let me tell you is an odd combination).
ReplyDeleteI actually blogged the entire time I studied there, so if you dig deep in the archives, you'll find out all about. (I did not blog when I studied in Japan, that was all pre-blog.) :)
lovely pictures
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so amazing! I'm constantly impressed by your ability to totally reinvent pieces.

LOVE how it's the one in the old header! I'm now realizing that I had a very similar dress a while back and have no clue what happened to it?!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I only have one shirt-dress and I find it impossible to remix. You've definitely got this one down though. I love that last picture; when was that outfit from?
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is amazing- did you edit it in anyway, or were the clouds really so dramatic?
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with checkered pieces too at the moment! And I love how versatile most checkered prints are! All your beautiful looks with this dress prove it! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! The backgrounds are astonishing!

A good reminder that I should definitely own more shirt dresses! I always find your Saturday remixes inspiring, they come up on my Sunday here in Aus, so they're perfect for getting me out of my pjs and planning what to wear for the week.
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture! Looks like a very majestic place...I'm imagining I'm there now...
