One of my key signs of spring has become these DKNY nude heels. I bought them through Gilt over a year ago and wore them to death last summer. I really think they are the most comfortable shoes I own and they go with everything. I'm happy the temperatures are permitting me to wear them again. It's pieces like these shoes that I'm hoping to add to my wardrobe. Intentional shopping is always difficult for me; I exist within my budget, but still purchase based on mood and instinct. Still, I'm trying to focus on pieces that will be the perennials of my wardrobe; things that won't just last because of their quality, but I will want to return to year after year.

I love that dress so much. The bright blue color is so pretty. I really like it paired with the yellow bag. Fabulous as always =)

I agree with this completely. I have problems with impulse shopping - especially when it is on sale or at a thrift store, I mean, it is ONLY a couple of dollars, right? But that leaves me with a closet full of things I only kind of like.
ReplyDeleteThese heels are amazing. And I really like this faded denim jacket - definitely great for spring.
Great outfit! I'm looking for a pair of heels like that, but I'm worried about buying online because I want to make sure they're comfy!

Steffys Pros and Cons
I'm out of words right now.
ReplyDeleteBut you already know how much I adore your clothing posts and your landscapes, as I tend to be one of the more lengthy commenters on your site.
Today, I'm only going to say, I love and want your shoes.

Completely jealous of your bare-leg weather! It's been raining here!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shoes x
I loved those shoes last summer, and am glad they're back in cirulation. I agree with you about buying things that will be perennially in style in your own taste. It has to be said that even cheap quality things can last for years if you are nice to your clothes... I notice that you have some Zara and H&M clothes that show up from long ago in your Remix feature. Although it's always nice to have good quality clothes too!
ReplyDeletelove the dress - so cute
ReplyDelete@Emily, yeah, I totally agree. Most of my vintage pieces were bought super cheap too (I hate spending a higher price on vintage!). I'm not talking about price points in the post, just impulse buys.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is perfect for the news season.

I hear what you're saying! Now, I'm trying to focus more on buying more expensive pieces, but less rather than tons of impulse buys at cheap prices that I end up selling or giving away. I adore the really gorgeous, linear, blousy floral pattern of your dress.
ReplyDeleteAw, Rebecca, you look so pretty! I love the print of your dress. Matches perfectly with your setting. xo
ReplyDeleteI love the bag <3
