I couldn't resist getting this bathing suit as soon as I laid eyes on it...in the dead of winter when it was completely illogical. So, the suit has been sitting in my dresser drawer for months while I eagerly awaited an opportunity to wear it out. Thankfully summer was inevitable. Lately, every day the sun is shining and the temperatures are so high that a swimsuit seems like the only suitable outfit to wear (the only suitable activities are lazing at the beach, or sitting on your front porch drinking lemonade). I'm a rather shy person, but this piece is so wonderful to wear that I dared to snap a few photographs in it. In fact, I like it so much that I had to order the navy velvet version as well...but don't expect any more swimsuit pictures from me this summer!
OH MY GOD! TOTALLY AMAZING! This is so beautiful, Rebecca. Just- WOW.
ReplyDeletelovely.
love, polly
Very cute!:)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! You are so beautiful!! And that umbrella...wowza! I've never seen anything like it! And your gifs are always my favorite. Have a great day Rebecca!!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are just beautiful, Rebecca. I can understand your shyness, but I'm glad you shared these!
ReplyDeleteLovely swimsuit.Vey cute :)
ReplyDeleteI daresay, you are so darn brave, I totally applaud you.
ReplyDeleteI could never show that much of myself on my website, I don't think.
I love the suit. It's nice and feminine and retro and appealing, but it also has a nice amount of ruching, so that, if you do happen to eat a bit, or drink too much water, no one is going to see a bit of a paunch. :) It's a very wise choice, my dear!
Paired with that umbrella? Breath-taking!

Oh good gracious, Rebecca, you look mighty mighty fine in that bathing suit! I was just in a cutesy, but super expensive shop in Montmartre yesterday that had tons of 50's style pin-up bathing suits (all for 250 euros or what not) and I just felt a pang of disappointment because it's such a flattering and beautiful style but woefully underused in today's world of low-rise bathing suits (maybe it's my long-torso speaking but low-rise styles just don't look very beautiful to me!) Anyway, I'm glad you shared these photos with us! They are beautiful and the umbrella is the whipped cream on top of it all.

It's hard to tell if the material would work but I would be so tempted to wear this suit as a top with a skirt over it. The colour and cut of it are so lovely!

ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing on you! You look like a pin-up model! :)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful and the gif is super cheeky! I posted a bathing suit post last year ( a one piece, wanna keep it family friendly...) and I felt super scared to do it... but glad I did.

Oh surely you knew you'd get a stream of comments spouting how gorgeous you are. Oh my.
ReplyDeleteWow, I bought that same swimsuit during the dead of winter too!! It's just too cute to resist. You look great in it. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I live in California, the weather has not been warm enough to go swimming yet! I envy you!
ReplyDeleteI like one pieces but I'm kind of afraid of them because I need a lot of boob support. I wonder if this suit has an underwire?
ReplyDelete@hellotampon, no underwire (ps i recommend reading the reviews on the site over what I have to say), but it is very supportive. I'm a d-cup & it works nicely for me.
ReplyDeleteso adorable. it is so perfect.
ReplyDeletei love the swimsuit!! i saw it on modcloth but was upset it was 90.00...i found pretty much the same exact one on walmart awhile back for 30!
ReplyDeleteI super love your brolly! Can't stop staring at it and wishing it was mine!
ReplyDeletevery nice :)
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love everything about this post! what a lovely bathing suit on you, and the parasol!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing with the swimsuit on!
ReplyDeleteI bought my Esther Williams swimsuit last year and love it. It's navy blue with white polka dots and it makes me feel like I live in a different decade.
