My family is relocating to another military base (and only too soon I should be moving independently as well), so I'm trying to make my last moments here count. Naturally for me this means lingering at the beach until I feel forced to leave. I'm a little heartbroken to be moving away from the beach; we won't be far down the road, but there is nothing compared to the convenience of walking to the water. This is the trouble with falling in love with places when you were born a nomad. Even homes don't last forever.

MOVING? Awww! The fort and the moat has become so much of a character in your photos, almost as much a character as the beach. You're naturally and spiritually, (at least to me) so bound to water. It does make me sad, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your email the other day. I haven't had the chance to respond to it (don't worry, I will send it to your Gmail Account), but I will soon.
My husband booked a flight and Vacation Rental Ohana cottage in Kaneohe, and we'll be out there 11/30 permanently if it all works out! So excited! Windward, here I come!

Moving already?! Wow. I'm sure your new house will be in a nice place, too, though. :)

I wish you luck as you venture off to new grounds. It's always sad to leave a place that holds such dear memories, but it's also exciting to see what your new destination will bring!
ReplyDeleteLove the color on the shoes with the dress! I hope you still get to take your pictures at the beach!

The move will bring new change and open many new doors ! Though it shall be a shame to no longer see the sea in your photo, I do believe there will be lots more exciting backgrounds to come !
ReplyDeleteAww. :( I'm so sad for you. But hey, new places mean new adventures! If I were you, I'd definitely would want to spend as much time as I can near the beach. Heck, I'd even sleep there if it was safe. haha

I've lived in the same place all my life. It's weird to think of all the things I'd miss if I moved away. Pretty dress x
ReplyDeleteGood luck wherever you land. You're right that nothing lasts forever so best to love it while you can. Your dress is the cutest.
ReplyDeleteAdorable dress!
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling, have moved 18 times on 21 years. But try to breath in as much as possible of the atmosphere, and I hope you like the new place you will move to.

I'm sorry to ask as I'm sure you've been asked before, but what camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine moving as much as you do! I have only moved three times in my whole life and never as a child!
