The weather in New York rather threw me for a loop when I first arrived. I was expecting it to be overcast and a little cool some of the days, but I wasn't anticipating so much rain! Thankfully, I had thought far enough ahead to pack tights and a few other pieces in my suitcase "just in case." So, this outfit was something I hadn't planned on wearing, but ended up being what I kicked off my NYFW outfits with. I also mostly packed sensible shoes this season because I really wanted to be able to run around and get the best photos at shows as possible--heels all day are definitely a hindrance in those situations. Anyway, this is just an early fall sort of look to start fashion week off with--nothing like gloomy skies and cooler weather when you're viewing spring and summer collections...

I think these sorts of quirky layers and accessories are solving the "too ladylike" issue you were mentioning with your hair. These are really fun and funky!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! It's so funny watching everyone at LFW teetering about on the Somerset House cobblestones in their heels. I can't blame you at all for wearing flats, heels are too impractical for a day on the go!
ReplyDeleteI am still totalling loving your hair.
ReplyDeleteI would never be able to wear heels running around new york all day! I'd keep having to sit and take breaks, and that would make me angry.. I'm so impressed by people who can walk/stand all day in six inch heels.
you look incredibly cute.
you're such a cutie! love your energy in these! I've never been to NY!
ReplyDeletelove, polly

@Delaney, yep, but it's not over yet. Official end is the 15th--I still have more shows & studio visits scheduled. I'm kind of exhausted right now to be honest.
