It's funny how much simpler things can be in summer. Our wardrobes are necessarily turned minimalist by the rising temperatures, but other areas seem simplified as well. If we're in school, we get out; if we have work, we usually take vacation time. Even if we don't take time away from our usual schedule the sun lingers in the sky like a welcome guest, stretching our days and giving us more time to complete our necessary tasks under golden light. In autumn we begin to layer our clothes; constructing complicated cocoons around our bodies. The days are hurried and short--with fleeting daylight and unwelcoming weather every day has a pointed deadline...

So true to everything. I am watching the day light decrease with each passing day and I'm starting to get palpitations. One for my excitement for cooler weather and the other reason is for dread since I hate running errands in the dark and cold.
