The world is turning golden here, but we've somehow avoided the usual lingering chill of fall and winter so far. A few cold days and strong winds, then the weather turns as gentle as a late summer evening. It's rather lovely to live in a place where I can boast bare legs some days in November, especially when it means I get to bring this dress out of my closet. After much debate I decided that while I love the elegant longer length this dress originally boasted I would wear it more often if I shortened it slightly. So, here it is at it's new updated length. It's called the "doll dress" and it does succeed in making me feel like a porcelain doll...which is not how I usually like to feel!

Outfit details:
Gryphon trench coat
Juicy Couture purse
The shorter length is so much more fun! Way to go.
ReplyDeletegorgeous dress! The trees look beautiful there. I wish ours still had their leaves!
ReplyDeletebeautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteyou can be lucky about your golden november, i haven't seen trees with leaves for about one/two weeks now and it's freezing cold!

Goodness what a stunning dress - I LOVE it paired with your shorter hair style, & those shoes are just stunning as well. Beautiful photos, beautiful girl. Hope your week is lovely. xo V
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! This length is so cute, I really love things that just hit above knee length. And it looks perfect with your new hair =)

Oh my god, love your dress!
ReplyDeleteWow, this dress is beautiful! I love that length, it looks perfect for you. And those leaves are beautiful! You're lucky to have some warm-ish weather still :).
ReplyDeleteI love this dress so much. I really want to buy a Trashy Diva dress but I'm nervous about ordering something from the US in case it doesn't fit. Pictures like these make me feel brave though! And autumn colours are the best in the world.

i loooove this dress.. its such a stunning shape and fit! :) x
ReplyDeletelove the pink with your hairing, and the twirling photo is super cute:) such lovey lovely leaves!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress. It looks fantastic on you.
ReplyDeleteBasically, I don't much like that dress (no offense intended, we can't all like all the same things, etc.) but I think it looks way better shortened and I think your hair really punches it up and makes it a lot fiercer (blea, can't believe I'm using that word, but it does) : )
ReplyDeleteYou look just divine in this dress.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! I love the contrast between this look and the time you wore it at Fashion Week- with both shorter hair and a shorter dress, you look super cute and fun. Did you take your dress to a tailor or do you sew yourself?
ReplyDeleteSooo I haven't been on your blog in quite a long time, so I had to go look back on your recent posts. Your hair is adorable, this cut suits you so well! And the weather where you are (Virginia?) looks wonderful! Especially the photos by the ocean...I'd love to one day live off a body of water. Here in Minnesota, we have loads of lakes, and I'd consider living off Lake Superior because of all the huge sea rocks, but I'm sure it's not the same without that salty spray.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, just wanted to say that & also I'll be visiting your blog more often. I forgot how much I enjoy it :)
Love it.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks nicer shorter. It is such a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteOh I am jealous! It was 44 degrees here in PA today and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees. I would kill to walk out in bare legs right now.
ReplyDeleteI love how full and darling this dress is! Nothing wrong with embracing the dollness for a bit because you look gorgeous:)
That little dress is fantastic! It fits you perfectly and I really like the new length. It looks so fun to spin in too!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love skirts that are good for twirling in, and it looks like that one totally fits the bill! Haha. The length looks great too.
ReplyDeleteWinter's definitely on its way in here in Michigan--it snowed today, and I think I was one of very few people I know to actually be excited about it.
