So, I cut my hair again--after my initial change from long hair to a bob this didn't feel drastic. Although, I am slightly afraid of looking like a boy from behind and I wore one of my most feminine dresses on the day of my haircut to balance it out. I've been trying to wear more pants this fall, but I might start wearing them more infrequently than ever now! These pictures were literally snapped a few minutes after my cut, so I still have to wash it and style it on my own to see what it will really look like. Anyway, here I am with the new cut; I really like it and I do hope it means even less work in the morning, although I'll probably start having to wear more scarves to keep my neck warm!

oh my gosh that is adorable. I usually like longer cuts more but this suits you so much x
ReplyDeleteOh, you look so petite on the last photo. And your hair is gorgeous. I liked the previous style too, but this is great. I'd like to cut my hair this short sometime.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! It's the most drastic of them all! It looks fantastic on you :) How do you feel about having so many different haircuts in a years time? (I think that's awesome and brave!)
ReplyDeleteYou totally pull it off though. You definitely do not look boyish. Super cute! :)

suits you well! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty! And it really suits you too.

Eeeee! This makes me miss my pixie cut (had that 3 years ago). One thing I can say is that I discovered it was WAAAY less fluffy after washing if I let it airdry instead of blowdrying. My favorite product for "finishing" and adding texture is No. 4 Glossy Modeling Putty for Wizards by Davines. It didn't build up in my hair (I don't wash everyday). Have fun with the new cut!
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable. So nice and lovely. I always loved log long long hair, but you look great with this new hair cut! It brings out your eyes!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is gorgeous as the bag!
Love
so adorable!
ReplyDeleteohmyyy your hair soooo adorable and it makes you look cuter :D
ReplyDeleteSo stunning! Love the new hair, it's absolutely beautiful (and not a style that just anyone can pull off!)
ReplyDeleteUm...wow! This cut looks amazing on you! You are definitely pulling it off! So vintage inspired...<3
ReplyDeleteOhmygod, youlookamazing <3
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful with your haircut. I always wanted to get a pixie cut but my husband and dad would kill me.
ReplyDeleteThe vintage dress looks amazing on you and your new cut.

Your hair looks amazing. While it might play as "boyish" from the back, I definitely think it looks grown up and sophisticated - and feminine.
ReplyDeleteI love it! It suits you extremely well.
ReplyDeleteCUTEST haircut ever! it looks amazing! so so so cute. I've been wanting to cut my hair like this forever, but I know I'll never pull it off....my nose is too big, and I'll probably never do it. you look so super ciyte with it though!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful! I'm envious that any length of hair suits you so well! I'm growing my hair out; it's the longest it has been in five years.
ReplyDeleteLove the cut. It looks very pretty on you and it really makes your face stand out. I especially love the aura of Mia Farrow in the style and the shape. It's not exactly like that, but your features with the cut bring that to mind.

Rebecca - I love the cut! I think it looks very retro and charming... just like you!
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks amazing. Having short hair is the best, so much less hassle.

Oh you're so cute!!
ReplyDeleteIt look like every haircut fits you! This one is perfect, and this is the best cut to wear beautiful headbands, it can give a really feminine and retro style. I had short hair like this long time ago ^^
I love it!!
Kisses from Paris!
Pandore
i'm in love with the cut. seriously. but i may be bias since this is coming from someone who just chopped their hair back into a pixie cut too ... ;)

ReplyDeletexo,

ReplyDeletei. love. it.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute ! :-)
ReplyDeleteAhh! You're so brave!! I would be TERRIFIED to do that. And especially when your hair was sooo long just little bit ago.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good though - reminds me a little of Carey Mulligan.
You looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks amazing! I too was afraid when I chopped off all my locks of being mistaken for a boy. Everyone ended up loving it and there was only one incident where some old asian lady thought I was a boy until I turned around.
ReplyDeleteDare to be different!

I LOVE the new 'do! The bangs frame your face so well and you do not look like a little boy at all. I definitely would not have the guts to chop my hair that short.
ReplyDeleteYou remind me of a character from the anime Escaflowne; I think her name is Hitomi. Which is a compliment. ;) ANYWAY you look so gamine, I love it!
ReplyDeleteyour so brave! i don't think i could every bring myself to do something that drastic! looks good though!!!
ReplyDeletereally really nice haircut. I challenge you hahaha... why don't you dye it black? with your eyes and your skin colour the contrast would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat cut is so perfect on you! I especially love the third pictures. You look so coquettish. ^-^
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT
ReplyDeleteYou look AMAZING!!! Do not fear, you'll never look like a boy with that cute feminine face of yours; and not even from behind, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI'm on and off with the idea of chopping my hair off again, I think you've helped me pluck up the courage to finally do it, so thanks! ;D
@Anonymous, haha thanks for the challenge but I decline--I'm not really into drastic color changes & I already worry about looking unintentionally goth. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Cute and retro :)
ReplyDeletefabulous! the cut, the dress, the photos! girl, you rock!
ReplyDeleteVraiment très joli
ReplyDeleteLove these images, that cut looks amazing on you! I wish I could do something drastic with my hair but feel I've run out of things to do...can't wait to see what effect this might have on your outfits!
ReplyDeleteThis cut looks so classic on you! Love it!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness your hair cut is absolutely darling! I've never been brave enough to go super short, but I do love my bobby style haircuts- and love the outfit as always. I went through a bunch of your videos the other day- love your stop motion ones. you're quite the film artist. :)
ReplyDeleteYOU LOOK MARVELOUS REBECCA! Short hair definitely suits you, you are a seriously bonafide pixie! Absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteI chopped my hair off in freshman year of college & was so used to long hair I had no idea what to do with myself (too short is so not for me- although it is addicting after a while :)
That last picture looks out of a vintage movie or something. Lovely!
Take care, dear!

Beautiful! Makes me want to go to the hairdresser and have a try at a pixie cut myself, this is exactly what I would like it to look like. Who knows, in a few months or so?
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your new haircut!
ReplyDeleteI always read your blog and love it, but hardly ever comment. However, I just had to seeing your haircut! :)
Girl, rock the pixie cut! You look stunning! The cut suits you so well. :)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nerdysam.com
your hair is dazzling! it looks terrific from the back, with your dress, & tattoos.
ReplyDeleteLiterally made this face: :O at it! It looks so amazing! Ahh! Bless your adorable face!
ReplyDeleteI think you hair looks great like this! You still look totally feminine to me. I've been thinking about chopping my hair off, it's past my shoulders right now so I'm not sure about doing it. Nice post! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love the new hair, I wish I could pull off that sort of cut xx
ReplyDeleteLove your short hair. I cut my hair short 2 weeks ago (from a longer bob haircut) and now I feel I made the right choice. : )
ReplyDeleteI love your hair! I'm a natural redhead, and currently have that same cut. Your pics are tempting me to dye my hair just a little more red :)
ReplyDeleteThe haircut looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress and gorgeous hair. I wish I could pull of a pixie nearly as well as you do and red!
ReplyDeletewow! What a change! I do hope it's less work! I've had long hair and short hair (I get a pixie cut every few years). And I've always found short hair to be more work. BUT that's because I would always let it grow out again! If you schedule a trim every 6 weeks or so, you should be fine!
ReplyDeleteps. you look lovely! very audrey-esqu
I've been reading your blog for over two years now, Rebecca. Even though it is one of my favs, I have never felt the need to comment so far. However, now I just have to say: W O W ! ! ! You look stunning with your new haircut!
ReplyDeleteAnd you probably know, we south-Germans are usually very reserved with compliments ;)
Wow it looks absolutely fantastic! I used to have hair this short and I'm dying to cut it like this again. You won't regret it!
ReplyDeleteBella (aka www.divine-decadence-darling.blogspot.com)
wow that haistyle suites you great! You look gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it! Makes me want to hack of my mid back length hair.
ReplyDeleteYour new hair cut looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteoh my, your hair is SO stunning!! It suits you beautifully, you look like a modern day Audrey Hepburn. Amazing! xo veronika
ReplyDeleteCUTE!!! I had a pixie cut a few summers ago, and I loved it but the problem was I got kinda bored with it. I longed for braids and long hair like you had at the time! Congrats on the cut, it looks adorable and I am sure you will rock it pants included.
ReplyDeleteShort hair is simply adorable. I have a similar cut/style. Sometimes I worry a bit about looking too much like a boy but in the end, who cares! Mixing elements of menswear with feminine clothes is quite inspirational!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! as a former pixie'd girl myself, i LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great haircut! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteWe all need drastic change now and again. It keeps life interesting. The new 'do is adorable on you!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I think I'll be checking back quite often because it's super inspiring! Your pics are all so cute and I also love your haircut!

ReplyDeleteWow! It's drastic but absolutely lovely! Love how it looks cute and at the same time chic! I wanted to grow my bob long, but after looking at your hair I have the urge to keep it short and dye it red!

ReplyDeleteCute! We must be channelling hair cutting thoughts as I'm thinking about going from quite long to above chin length.
ReplyDeleteWow, you look so good with the short hair!
ReplyDeleteAmazing hairstyle and I love your dress
ReplyDeletehere I am, taking a break from writing a paper and going through my bloglovin' queue when this post shows up! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI think that this cut looks so much better than your previous one!You look really feminine and chic in these photos :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so very lovely on you! You are very well suited for it!
ReplyDeleteRebecca
ReplyDeleteI could never consider close crops boyish whenever I associate them with so many iconic women (Mia Farrow, my mum, Jean Seberg, Emma Watson, you, the list goes on and on!). It looks stunning with that dress, but I'm sure you'll retain your femininity even if you pair it with something edgier. Love!
Bisous, Sarz
I love, love, love this cut on you!! I've always wished I could pull off a pixie cut, you do it perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for a while and when the page loaded and i scrolled down i let out a HUGE GASP! You look absolutely adorable and that just was just perfect for the reveal post.

ReplyDeleteI think this is so beautiful, I definitely love this cut. It's flirty and cute!

Yes! Your hair looks awesome! I always love a good short hair cut. Mine was short for the longest time so I'm just now trying out longer hair for a little bit. I have a feeling I'll be chopping at some point. You look so so cute with your new haircut though. I don't think it's too boyish at all so don't be afraid to wear pants! Girls with short hair are fantastic!
ReplyDeletethese pictures remind me of Kathy H, a character portrayed by Carey Mulligan in the movie Never Let Me Go. your new hair suits you well!
ReplyDeletehey now. girls who look like boys are the cutest kind of girls.
ReplyDeleteWooow!!! your hair , you look so vintage (little like Twiggy) :P

I love it! My friend suggested that I should do the same. I did and it looks smashing! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI f***ing LOVE that hair. Welcome to the short red haired sisterhood, you make a CUTE member, very Julia Roberts in Hook. And don't worry - you're far too delicately femininely pretty to ever look like a boy...unlike me :)
