Endless Trains Of The Faithless

This is another outfit I wore a couple of weeks ago while I was in New York, but didn't end up photographing there (it's hard for me to take pictures when I'm away from home and harder still to pose in front of someone else's camera). It's a really cozy outfit, but I thought the color story was an interesting one. I'm so glad I found these strange colored tights this fall; they've made for some interesting outfits. That's the power of interesting accessories--they definitely make a difference in even the most basic or ordinary outfits. I've also been more drawn to muted or interesting tones (like the tights) rather than very bright and vivid ones which I wore more of in the past.

  1. This reminds me of something that my room mate has mentioned while she has been getting ready lately. She said that she'll feel like wearing a specific color and then just pile on everything she owns in that color. Although she always ends up changing (I guess monochrome isn't something she embraces yet), I think it's such a cool idea. Really well represented here, too! I think the blouse is my favorite aspect.

  5. I also really like the colors, but am particularly liking the silhouette, which is a different one from ones I've seen you wear recently. Its great that you are always growing/experimenting with your look while still being true to you.

  8. Wow, this is such a wonderful combination of colors and textures. You remind me of Twiggy with your haircut! I prefer muted tones as well; I think they especially work well as you get older.

  11. Happy Leap Year day!

I love the velvet and copper tones of the outfit. But more still do I love the swing shape of the dress illuminates the elfin, coquettish look you've got going on with your adorable hair.

Still kind of sad we couldn't connect while in Hawaii. I hope you return sometime soon and we can have a coffee/beach romp date!

    Love the train. As always.
