Miles Away and Plans Apart

On my birthday (not for my birthday), I flew to Hawaii to spend some time in the sun on Oahu with my family. We lived here for a few years; it's where I graduated from high school so every time I get to go back I almost feel as if I'm going home. It's so nice to visit old familiar haunts and eat at our favorite restaurants and food trucks again. These were taken on my first full day in Hawaii and ironically enough, while you're reading this I'm headed to New York to do some fashion week coverage (like hobbling down the runway at Polyvore Live--surreal). I have loads of pictures from my short trip away from the mainland though, so I'll be sharing those throughout the week. My instragram will have as much live coverage as I can manage.

Wow. These photos are stunning! You look so cute in that dress and I can't believe that the lovely scenery isn't the result of a backdrop or some intense PhotoShop editing. So lovely!

I'm in love with your little red sailor dress. It's super cute with your short hair cut. Every time I see your posts they make me think about cutting my hair really short. I'm determined to do it sometime in the near-ish future!
