I haven't worn this Family Affairs dress as much as I ought to seeing how it's velvet and I love everything velvet, but I've still styling it a few different ways. That marigold yellow is quite a pretty shade; combined with the fabric the dress really feels so fall to me. Fall is all changing leaves and cooler weather while we seek comfort in cozy things--in fall you always want tactile fabrics (like velvet) against your skin.
Beautiful color dress, great looks , all are good !
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty dress! A gorgeous colour and I love velvet too!

I don't know why but I find velvet a difficult texture for me to wear. You make it look effortless, but I struggle so much with it myself.

i like it best with the plaid jacket. It looks so good on you because it contrasts nicely with your red hair :)

Perfect colour for your hair!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress! I love that its velvet and the color is lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like structurally it could be quite diverse; like with a belt there is an entirely different look than as it hangs loose. Nice!
ReplyDeleteAhh! Stunning! I recently scored some blue vintage velvet at a flea market. It felt like heaven. Kinda makes me want to shave my legs so I can rub it against my skin! Or something maybe less weird (like...make a turban headband and not rub it on any appendages??).
ReplyDeleteYour haircut is perfect. I was obsessed with getting a super short cut for years but made the decision to grow my hair out before I actually whacked it off.
So happy to have found your blog little lady!

An Edwardian lady in full dress was a wonder to behold, and her preparations for viewing were awesome.Bridal silks
