I do love a good climbing tree. I hopped in this one when my friend Brittany was visiting and she was kind enough to take a few pictures for me. This tree would make a perfect reading tree; the branches are exactly shaped to cradle your body while you lounge with a book in your hands while the leaves shade you from the sun. Sitting in it reminded me of my routine after school when we lived in North Carolina. I always had a sort of after school routine to unwind from the day; in junior high in dreary Washington State I would sit in front of our electric fireplace and read a book. In balmy North Carolina where I spent the first part of high school, I would lounge in a hammock out back, reading. I'd like to find a good place to read outside this summer.

I love that dress it is so pretty!

ReplyDeleteThat is really the perfect reading tree! :D And it seems like such a good place to relax, imagining that you're the only one knowing about it and lounging in its branches, drifting off to another world..
ReplyDeleteAh, I wish I had a tree like that :)

Love the print of your dress :) And I wish I had a tree near half as good as that to sit on around me. Unfortunately the council seem content to shave any and every tree they come across in my area :(

that is one peculiar-looking tree. No wonder you love it so much. Love your outfit by the way. Must be nice to have a tree to be a hang-out spot
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that is a big tree. (Ok, I couldn't help but laugh as I typed 'whoa' because my brain instantly went to 'whoa, horsey' and you call yourself the clothes horse...completely not intended btw-lol). Anyhoo, love the dress paired with that jacket. :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a nice big reading tree, sitting in one wearing a pretty dress seems like the most romantic thing. You pull it off really well!

That dress has a really lovely silhouette on you.
ReplyDeleteI am fascinated by that tree. Actually, probably trees - it looks like several different trees grew very close together and ended up sort of merging, which does happen a lot. That crook you're sitting in looks like a perfect place for you to recreate your after-school reading routine!
