One thing I do really enjoy about fall and winter styling is how you can turn some of your fanciest dresses into daywear. With enough tights, socks, cardigans, mittens, and so on even a sequin dress seems rather balanced for daytime outings. This teal dress is another example; the lace overlay is a bit more evening than a more basic cotton dress, but with just the skirt peeking out beneath all my layers it seems quite appropriate for a simple day of errands and cooking in...
