Language Is Fossil Poetry

Most of the time while I might throw on a pretty sundress or even more dramatic one piece better suited for a party than errands, my purse is incredibly practical--a cross body or enormous tote big enough to haul a dozen ridiculous things and my of course my camera. It gets a bit unwieldy and I'm pretty sure the weight is beginning to make me lean to one side, but I have a hard time minimizing. Minimal in dress sense, but not in what I typically carry around I suppose. But when Fossil approached me to pick out a couple of my favorite items from their fall collection, I decided to go little outside of my norm. I chose this pocketbook, decided to lighten up a bit, and it was lovely. I only took the cards I knew I needed from my wallet, threw in my phone, and a chapstick and felt like I was walking on air for most of the day. It was just one of those times when your clothes made you feel both chic and comfortable. I felt like a modern "lady who lunches" and even my new watch added to the classic-meets-modern vibe. With just the dress, purse, and flats I'd be rather ladylike but you add an oversized watch and blue hair to the mix and the whole thing is just more interesting. I always enjoy the juxtaposition of elements. Aside from all that, I could definitely get used to a purse that keeps my shoulders level...
