As I've stated time and again: I'm a minimalist. I prefer the ease of summer dressing when looking pulled together means throwing on a dress and a pair of sandals, not to mention the ability to walk out your front door without getting frostbite or at least a runny nose from the cold temperatures. But fall and winter are "more is more" times. More gatherings of your friends, more delicious food often at said gatherings, more color outside of your window, more bills as you turn on your heat and require more electricity, and more layers of clothing. In fact, the only thing you seem to have less of is daylight and perhaps cash in your wallet--those Christmas presents and stocking stuffers add up quick. Today's outfit is definitely an illustration of that concept: dress and cardigan and jacket, scarf and tights and socks. There is a little bit of a pattern clash between the scarf and dress, but I kept my color palette limited to avoid looking too busy. Still undecided if I achieved that goal.

I love your dress and your coat you are beautiful :)

These are my favorite kinds of outfits, the complex, layered ones. It definitely gets old in late spring, when I just want to throw on a dress and be done, but I feel the most put-together when my outfit has a lot going on.
ReplyDeleteMe ha encantado tu look, te sigo desde hace muchos años, pero es primera vez que te comento.

Sorry i'm not have a good english ;)
Adorable floral dress!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's your "stuffed" outfit but you look thinner in these photos. Your body looks like a twig then there's your head on top. I hope you're eating well. Sorry if I sound like a worried (read: meddlesome) mother of some kind.
ReplyDeleteI love your skirt!

@Bivisyani Questibrilia, your comment is sort of inappropriate; it's not really flattering to be compared to a twig and have my eating habits questioned in a public form. I am healthy, but I shouldn't have to justify that to you. Even comments that seem to come from a place of concern but question a person's natural body shape can be damaging to self esteem and body image.
ReplyDeleteLove this look on you- the colors are perfect! Alex

The scarf caught my eye immediately. I really like how you've styled it in this outfit.

I think you did a great job! The monochromatic sweater keeps things streamlined, and the slim silhouette of your tights and boots balances out the blousier one up top.
ReplyDeletei love that dress!!
