Change Of Scenery

I left Pennsylvania with a fresh dusting of snow on the ground and old piles still lingering in the dark shadows between buildings to arrive in green, green Northern Ireland with dots of yellow blooming in the form of primroses in the grass and bushes of gorse fencing the fields. In winter there is an absence of color in nature as the skies turn grey and the ground gets blanketed in white, perhaps we are attempting to compensate the difference with our gaudy twinkle lights and garish decorations. Spring is the return of color and for me it happened as suddenly as boarding a plane in Philadelphia and disembarking in Dublin.
