Hat Lady

This summer I made a goal to wear more hats. "Goal" sounds like too grand a word really--more hats are hardly on my bucket list. It's just that I noticed a lot of my favorite street fashion pictures lately have been of women wearing hats, so I decided that I needed to add to my collection and wear some of the ones I already have too. When you're working towards moving it's not the most practical ambition since a lot of hats need to be stored/shipped properly to avoid getting bent out of shape. However simple felt hats like this one are great; this one has already made a couple of moves with me and ended up stuffed into boxes between books and other random bits & bobs and thankfully it goes back to nearly the original shape every time.

  1. lovely pics dear!

  2. Wow! In the second to last picture, you look so much like Kirsten Dunst.

I'd love to incorporate hats in my wardrobe, but I can't tell if it's just a sumemrtime accessory and summer is ending so soon.

  5. love those sandals!

  6. I love hats, but now that I have short hair I feel like I can't wear them. Whenever I put one on, I feel like it doesn't look right. I almost want to grow my hair out just for that reason. Lol.

  7. I have been thinking about wearing hats as well! They naturally make me a bit more self-conscious so I've decided that I need to "train" myself to wear them soon. Why do we tend to think about what we look like when we wear clothing rather than what we enjoy? If we really love something, why do we decide not to wear something because of what we think others might think of us (run-on sentence... haha)? Your hat makes me want to start wearing them even more now! Your pictures are fabulous as well.

  8. Hello! I nominated you for a Liebster Award on my blog, I hope you're okay with it!
If you'd like to do it, I'll love to read your answers :)

  9. I absolutely love accessorizing with hats....my only problem is they always fly away unless I securely pin them into place! The red and blues look lovely together.

  10. I've always wanted to wear more hats as well, but I don't have many, and I don't want to just buy more hats and then not wear them!
By the way, I LOVE the red hat.
