Outfit: Singing In The Rain

This coat reminds me of something Jean Hagen/Lina Lamont could've worn in Singing in the Rain. Although she wasn't the heroine of the film she was a very comical villain and her wardrobe was ridiculously glamorous. Who can't help but feel glamorous (and slightly ridiculous) in a coat with oversized faux fur collar and cuffs? Not to mention an umbrella with a duck face handle...The shape of the coat also calls for more 1920s and 30s inspired silhouettes than I currently have in my closet, but with a statement coat like this what's underneath is secondary. Which is good because on a miserable wet day like this I have no intention of taking my coat off!

  3. You look lovely as always! And it's funny, I've always liked the duckhead umbrellas. I was watching an old episode of "Diagnosis: Murder" with Dick Van Dyke the other night (circa early '90s) and he was carrying one, which seemed perfectly dorky enough for a Dick Van Dyke character. :-D

  4. I always love these tights! This is the perfect outfit for a rainy day. :-) If I had to choose an outfit to wear on a rainy day, this would be it. The jacket tops it off perfectly.
