A home tour with accessory designer Charlotte Olympia is an expected trip down the rabbit hole into an overflowing closet of shoes and bags. Crowded shelves feature her much-loved flats while more careful arrangements juxtapose her quirky heels and handbangs with books and vintage collectibles. Everywhere is a shoe or bag that looks like something else (a takeaway container in silk, a line of oversize perfume bottles that can hold all your essentials, a vintage phone...) or a source of inspiration (vintage mermaid brooches and red lobster earrings). It's a cluttered, colorful extravaganza where her designs couldn't look more at home. via
