Outfit: Waterhouse

Remember this dress from the middle of winter? I froze my butt off to wear it then in a faux leather jacket and tights and boots--I really needed a full winter coat that day, but the dress doesn't work with my coats and I was too excited to wear it to wait for spring. Still despite that brief wear this piece remained at the front of my mind for things I wanted to wear this spring. I'm usually all about mini dresses, but I think this might just be the year when more longer lengths are in high rotation in my wardrobe. I love the feel of this dress when I'm wearing it; the silky lining against my legs nearly down to my ankles, the way it moves as I walk--it's so lovely! And even if I did slip and fall on my bum on these wet rocks it was worth it for a few Pre-Raphaelite-esque photographs. I think the work of John William Waterhouse best illustrates my ideal imagery.
