So strange to think that I finally call this tiny gatehouse home! But it's official--we're moved in and figuring things out one day at a time. I say figuring things out because even with all of my possessions spilling out of every corner and Thomas's belongings piled on top, and wedding presents stacked around that we still find ourselves missing a few essentials. We were chopping vegetables to make dinner this past week with steak knives because we realized we didn't have anything else to chop them with! We do have an old fashioned milkshake mixer, but no proper knives. They're on the list for this week, along with half a dozen other practical items that previously escaped our attention. The gatehouse certainly looks pretty from the outside, but inside is temporarily in an awkward stage.

I think that is the cutest little house I've ever seen! congratulations! :)

ReplyDelete@Maggie Craig, we haven't shared any pictures inside our home at this point. Still undecided how much we will show & how much we want to keep private.

I can't believe that's your home. So absolutely stunningly beautiful. Can't wait to see pictures of the inside
ReplyDeleteI was rather hoping you'd take a couple of snapshots of the interior back when it was empty--so as to bypass any privacy issues--simply 'cause I'm so curious about the architecture, floor plan and stuff like that! It's really a fascinating little place to me as I so love old houses. :-)
ReplyDeleteI use every inch of my little old home's storage space, which is basically the basement, as the builders were apparently unaware of that marvelous innovation known as the closet. Does the gatehouse have attic storage? It looks as if it might. Hope so! :-) It is our destiny to go up and down staircases and ladders a lot, lol.
It's so beautiful! will you be showing the inside?
ReplyDeleteThat first moments on the new home are always the same. I've moved 6 months ago, and still searching for lamps :)
