You're officially looking at a 30 year old lady! I had my birthday over the weekend and while I'm celebrating with a short adventure away, I thought this year it would be really fun to give something away for my birthday. Several somethings in fact. (Check back every day this week for a new giveaway!) We might as well start off with a bang--a beautiful beaded 1920s inspired flapper dress from the amazing Gatsbylady shop that I can't get enough of. I couldn't resist this pretty pink number for February and it pairs so nicely with red accessories. I mixed up the decades a bit with the swing coat and heels for a slightly less literal flapper look and I really like how this whole look came together. I feel like even the most 1920s inspired dresses can be a modern and playful party dress if you choose an unusual color like pink or gold, or color combination. So many flapper dresses you see are in black, but Gatsbylady makes them in so many different shades and styles. And if you've always wanted a flapper dress then today is your lucky day; Gatsbylady is giving away one 1920s inspired dress--winner's pick! You can find the details on how to enter at the end of the post.

Unique Vintage coat, Gatsbylady dress, vintage purse (similar), old heels (similar, also love these!)

ReplyDeleteGatsbylady dresses always look so great on you! I love them all! The dresses with the cape tops, the dresses with all the beading and fringe are all gorgeous! My favourite has to be 'Dorothy vintage inspired prom dress in navy'. The back on it is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely dress! Love the combination with the red coat and your hair. And happy birthday! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe red looks beautiful with your hair!

Happy Bday :)
ReplyDeletethe dress looks gorgeous on you.
A very happy 30th birthday to you, and thank you for the celebratory giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with flapper dresses so I had a lovely time browsing the store. I think I'd go for a bright color or a navy, with fringe, without sleeves — like this: http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/gatsbylady-isobel-1920-s-vintage-inspired-fringe-dress-in-red.html or maybe this even though it's silver! http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/gatsbylady-hollywood-1920-s-vintage-inspired-fringe-dress-in-grey-silver.html
ReplyDeleteAhh you always coordinate your colors so well! Anyway I've been interested in the New Woman as a movement for so long, and flapper dresses are always gorgeous to look at. Gatsbylady's Eva dress in blush is absolutely marvelous. Blush as a color is beautiful no matter the article of clothing--it's soft, it can be delicate, it can establish peak aesthetics, etc.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the Isobel Fringe Dress. It´s totally amazing.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! These dresses are so incredible, and you look stunning in them!
ReplyDeleteBrowsing the store was so fun. All of the dresses are beautiful. I think the Beatrice dress in Plum is my favorite! It matches my hair!
Oh gosh- I absolutely love lady gatsby dresses. I've got my eye on the Downton Abbey in Navy to wear to my mums wedding in April. It's so stunning and elegant! Adore that pink on you too- looks amazing with red accents
ReplyDeleteI love love love your blog! I love your style and the photos always look amazing. I quite like the Juliet inspired fringe dress in teal or the Angel sleeves vintage inspired flapper dress in Emerald! So many gorgeous dresses!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! All of gasbylady's dresses are gorgeous! I can't decide between the Audrey or the Isobel; they're both so fab! 💕
ReplyDeleteOh gosh- I absolutely love lady gatsby dresses. I've got my eye on the Downton Abbey in Navy to wear to my mums wedding in April. It's so stunning and elegant! Adore that pink on you too- looks amazing with red accents
ReplyDeleteI love how you've revisioned your red & pink moodboard into a beautiful vintage look! I love the Clara dress in ivory gold - so classy! But it's really hard to decide :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lovely! I would have an incredibly hard time choosing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! It's so hard to decide my favorite, but Rosemary Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress Black Gold really caught my eye! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress! :) you look like you've wandered right out of the Roaring Twenties with a modern twist!
ReplyDeleteI love Liz Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress in Navy Blue
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress, I love how you styled it with that heart bag

the beading is so good
ReplyDeleteThe Gloria dress in navy is gorgeous. I'm planning a say goodbye to my roaring twenties party for my 30th birthday this year. I'll definitely be looking to your blog for some inspiration
ReplyDeleteI have a 30s party on a few weeks and I read all your posts! Love love!
ReplyDeleteI love the Isobel short fringe dress in black..I think black glitter (with gold accents) is the best way to shine in a vintage 20s dress.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I wore a 20s attire was when I attended a Gatsby themed party - and I had no 20s dress to show at that time (nor the budget to buy one especially for the occasion!) - so I studied period make-up and went for a full face 20s makeup look: dark eyes, round makeup (no cat eye!), rounded eyebrows, small and very red pout.
Happy Birthday! Mine was last week too. I love the Angel Sleeve Emerald Green Dress because I have a green and gold cat masquerade mask that would go perfectly! http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/gatsbylady-angel-sleeve-1920-s-vintage-inspired-flapper-dress-in-emerald-green.html
ReplyDeleteI love them all but my favorite is this one: http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/dorothy-vintage-inspired-prom-dress-in-navy.html
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the pale blush color of this dress!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI like the Carolyn Maxi Cape Dress in navy - I love capes :p
cassaela@hotmail.co.uk
Happy birthday! Such a lovely dress! And I love it paired with the red coat!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Absolutely love this look! I really like the Beatrice Vintage Inspired Fringe Flapper Dress in Purple Plum. That color is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday! You always look so gorgeous... and I really love the dress you're wearing. So if I had to go with an "actual" flapper dress, I'd pick that one, the Beverley in champagne blush. However, I do feel like the Gloria dress in navy is shouting my name just a little bit louder. I do love glitter and sparkles, but would probably feel more comfortable in something a little bit simpler!
ReplyDeleteI love the Angel Sleeve dress in navy!
ReplyDeleteThat colour is sweet on you!
ReplyDeletethis guy http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/gatsbylady-lillian-1920-s-vintage-inspired-flapper-dress-in-grey.html now i just need an occasion to wear it :)
ReplyDeleteI go to a lot of 20's themed parties so another dress would be awesome! I only have a simple black fringed one from H&M, this would be quite the upgrade! I fell in love with the Beatrice Plum dress..such a dream!
ReplyDeleteI just saw a red flapper dress at my favorite thrift store and sadly, when I tried it on, it was a little too small and short. Maybe this one will work out! :-) As always, love your blog and style. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pink!
ReplyDeleteEver since I was in High School and they had us read Great Gatsby my love for the beautiful decade had grown. I'm sure the 2013 movie made it look even more glamorous but the style and how sophisticated everyone was at the time was just so great. My favorite dress by far that I have seen on Gatsby Lady was the Chicago Vintage Inspired Maxi Dress in Champagne Blush - See more at: http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/maxi-dresses/chicago-vintage-inspired-maxi-dress-in-champagne-blush.html#sthash.xeLNujaM.dpuf. I love blush pink since it goes great on my skin tone as much as it does yours in this photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the Beatrice flapper dress in plum. It's stunning. Thank you for this amazing giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLove the bold red color!

Happy belated Birthday :) That coat looks amazing with the dress, such a great combination. I really love the Isobel dress in Grey Blue.
ReplyDeleteOh my... I can't really decide which one is the most beautiful... but right now I think the Elizabeth Vintage Inspired Maxi Dress in Lime Blue is gorgeous!! :) Thank you for the Giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Beatrice dress in Plum. The stuff of my dreams!!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress! It's the perfect balance of the 20's and modern clothing
ReplyDeleteI really love the 1920's look and I am big lover of the period as well as the style generated from it, thats why I love the Art-Deco Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress in Blue Grey as it reminds me of the windows and architecture of the time. Happy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 30th Birthday! The Gatsby Lady dress you're wearing is gorgeous. I enjoyed perusing her website although it was difficult to narrow down a favorite. That aside, I think I'm going to go with the Charleston Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress in Mint...I really enjoy the classic flapper style but with an updated color!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Rebecca!!! I too am feeling the pink and red combo! That had been my all time favorite go to color mix these past few months!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the Iris in black/gold. It reminds me of art deco buildings in NY!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful outfit, I love the color combination! Gatsbylady has so many beautiful dresses, but my favorite would have to be the Beatrice dress in plum :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! And thank you for the Giveaway!!! Honestly, I think my favorite is the style and color you're wearing in this post...the color allows one to wear it for several different occasions in the winter but it also lends itself nicely into the summer wedding season. However, I do rather love a similar dress in Black (a girl always needs a little black dress) http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/clara-vintage-inspired-fringe-flapper-dress-in-black-silver.html ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Again,
Monica

I'm obsessed with your reds, such a lovely look!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you! I love that dress paired with the red coat. Breathtaking! It's hard to choose but I believe my favourite dress on Gatsbylady is the Art-Deco Flapper Dress in Blush Pink. I adore the chiffon sleeves and the sequin detailing is to die for!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday, love!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! That dress is beautiful! I love beads.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Rebecca! My favorite style on GatsbyLady is definitely the "Vintage Inspired Maxi Dress" in cream - it is such an elegant dress, and I love the daintiness it lends toward! Makes me dream of summer weddings & long evenings spent by the lake!
ReplyDeleteOoooof! My heart stopped when I saw this dress.and people wonder why I'm obsessed with the 1920s
ReplyDeleteI simply cannot decode. But I think the Francesca or Isobel is calling my name
DeleteHappy birthday! I hope you have an amazing day celebrating this special milestone. You look absolutely gorgeous in that flapper dress. I love the pink color and the beautiful beading.
ReplyDelete-Helen
Sweet Helen Grace
Happy birthday! I love the Juliet Vintage Fringe Dress in Teal Black...never could resist a good teal :)
ReplyDeleteI love the red and pink combo, it's such a striking look! I love the Beverly dress and the Jade dress - hard to pick a favourite!
ReplyDeleteI like the Liz Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress in Navy Blue. I always think Navy is a great colour & like to see it used outside of nautical or professional themed clothing. A flapper dress in navy certainly is far way from either of those themes. I would try to pair it with wine coloured accessories to give it a bit of pop.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Beautiful post as always.
ReplyDeleteI love the "Charleston vintage" in either mint or nude blush (petite sizes). So many pretty dresses to choose from.
Happy 30th birthday! Wow this beaded dress is stunning, and that coat too! You look so ladylike in this outfit. A wonderful young lady :)
ReplyDeletehappy bday! i remember following you way back in the day. i'd probably choose one of the petite dresses they have. i'm not sure which one yet though... thanks for hosting the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHappy 30th! I love your creativity and style!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have this dress it's like a dream. I'm not sure if it's going to look good on me because of my darker skin. But it's certainly you look beautiful with it!
ReplyDeleteLove the red and pink color scheme of this look. Definitely perfect for Valentines day and super ladylike:)

Love the Gatsbylady's Eva dress in blush. Who can choose just one!?
ReplyDeleteI think the blush one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! You don't look a day over 21! I hope I age this effortlessly. Also, I had no idea we gingers could get away with wearing pink! This is perfection
ReplyDeleteWow thanks for this generous giveaway! ❤ I absolutely love the Beverley Vintage Inspired Fringe Flapper Dress in Off White
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this lovely giveaway and maybe a bit late Happy Birthday! 30's are fun I can tell you :-)
ReplyDeleteI went on the GatsbyLady website and it's quite difficult to answer your question but I think my favorite flapper dress will be the Art Deco Vintage Inspired Flapper Dress in Blue Grey.
Thank you again and have a wonderful week.
Tiphaine
Well happy birthday, lady! I can tell you it only gets better :)
ReplyDeleteAnd how to choose which style! Oh Lordt! I just love LOVE the real and black combination on the Juliet Dress. *fingers crossed* This dress is perfect!

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I am loving the blush pink dresses!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! And I would be so thrilled to win one of these dresses! It would be a lifelong dream come true actually:)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have to go with the Francesca in nude! I bet it will suit me very well and be a dress I could wear and enjoy my entire life.
Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteFor me it's got to be the Rosemary vintage inspired flapper dress in black gold. If I could wear pastels I'd go for that in a heartbeat but black and gold for a dinner party or New Year's Eve? Yes, please!
ReplyDeleteI love it! What s beautiful blog post, shop and fab giveaway! My favourite is the ivory gold colour combination in the dresses <3
ReplyDeleteI love the Beatrice in Purple Plum. I'd go for a darker palette.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! You look beautiful in that flapper dress. I love these beaded dresses! I would pick the Clara in black silver. It's so classically 1920s flapper. Perfect to wear to a speakeasy bar.
ReplyDeleteMy brother and his fiancé are having a 20's-themed wedding in September. I just recommended Gatsbylady to her as she looks for a dress. I'd love to wear one, too! I think Beatrice in plum is my favorite

DeleteOops! Updated my profile, so that my name shows! :) Happy Birthday, Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks stunning on you! I was more than a little overjoyed to hear about GatsbyLady, andthen this drawing-- I'm in my high schools drama department and we recently did a production of gatsby, along with most of us already loving the book aND movie. I adore the deep, yet still lively colors in the 20s look, and while picking was hard, my favorite is the Beatrice Vintage Inspired Fringe Flapper Dress in Purple Plum. It's elegant, without being overly bold. Wouldn't change a thing about it <3
ReplyDeleteI love the Edith and Lillian dresses; I have more of an hourglass figure so the flapper dresses that go straight up and down aren't great for me. These two look to be more the right shape for my figure. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Dorothy dress...I'm petite like you but more of a medium, so straight dresses don't look good on me. The Dorothy dress seems to be more suitable for me! I also love the beading on the neckline. I usually go for darker colours cos they're slimming!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteI love the Rosemary flapper dress in black. So classy and gorgeous (although I do have a soft spot for the emerald green one...)
All the dresses are so beautiful! I think my favorite is the Beatrice in purple plum.
ReplyDeleteThe Isobel is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love all your outfits, especially your Dorothy Vintage Inspired Prom Dress! The red coat on this outfit though was a nice touch! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose just one dress I love. The Isobel stands out to me. It'd look awesome in Ivory or blush.
ReplyDeleteThe brighter the better -- either the Alice in Bright Red or the Rosemary in Emerald Green was my most favorite.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I love the vibrant colors in the Gatsbylady dresses- I'd have to go with the Gloria or the Angel!
ReplyDeleteA very happy birthday to you! That dress absolutely looks like it was made for you. Stunning!
ReplyDeleteAll of the Gatsby Lady dresses are so spectacular. The pink ones are precious. I think the dress I would have to pick is the Art Deco in blue grey though...It's just so soft and sweet looking!
Happy late birthday!! I hope it involved at great adventure! I want the Chicago Vintage Inspired Maxi Dress in Champagne Blush to be my valentine!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! Your dress is beautiful. Your post is very timely because my friend is hosting a Gatsby themed birthday dinner for a trip that we are all going on in a few months and I have been doing some internet surfing to get ideas of dresses that I like. I am really liking the Rosemary Flapper Dress Black Gold - the embroidery detail is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress! I think the Beverly dress in off white is my favorite- I love soft colors
ReplyDeleteHappy 30th birthday. Rebecca! I hope you're having a great time celebrating! Your dress is absolutely stunning, I adore how detailed it is. And what a perfect Valentine's Day outfit as well. :)
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!
So about the dress, I love the Isobel Vintage Inspired Fringe Dress in blue grey. I would like to wear it to my sororitys commercium (Sororities in the Baltic region have little in common with sororities in the USA). Our student corporations have roots in german student organisations. And since our sorority was founded in 1924, a flapper inspired dress would be very appropriate!
I've never had a flapper dress, but they have so many pretty ones, I think I should finally give it a try! ;)
ReplyDeleteI really like the Vegas Vintage Inspired Fringe Dress in Black Gold. Also, in general, the black ones are all classic. I will let her decide!
ReplyDeleteThe Gloria cape dress in mint is beautiful but there are so many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! You look amazing! Your hair ♡
ReplyDeleteI really love the cape dresses of Gatsbylady. Even though they are much more simple than the other styles, I find something beautiful in the little details you'd have to be close enough to notice. The accessories are also so fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! This dress is perfect, but I'm a shoe addict I must say I'm in love with your shoes!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I'm planning a 1920s themed party for my 30th and have been eyeing off the gatsbylady options! I particularly like the Clara dress in black and silver (because nothing says 20s quite like a good fringe!)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite dress would have to be http://www.gatsbylady.com/clothing/short-dress/eloise-vintage-inspired-halter-neck-dress-in-black-silver.html

ReplyDeleteLove the Rosemary dress!

The Isla gown is probably my favorite. Or the Angelina in black. But to be fair, they're all really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey have so many amazing choices in store that I can't seem to choose. If I have to narrow it down, though, I think it's going to be between the Art-Deco dress in Grey Blue and the Lilian dress in Grey.
