The jacket is brilliant, I really love it, and with the red dress it looks amazing! I really love your whole blog. mine is still in it's early stages! Andie xxx
Thanks for leaving a nice comment! You're right, there are many other ways to be comfortable in clothing other than jeggings, tracksuit bottoms and uggs! All crazes that really should be been and gone by now.I find I'm comfortable in pratically everthing I wear, but cosy vintage jumpers, brogues, floaty dresses and oversized shirts are great comfort items. Great outfit, esspecially loving patterned tights and the red lip colour to match the dress ^^ Sofie onetoomanywishes.blogspot.com
Some of your locations you shoot in remind me of Wales where my family lives... Except when I'm walking in the woods I'm wearing wellies and looking extremely unattractive!
Love the colour of the FC dress and the way it pops out against the background. Want these tights bad. Not to mention long enough hair to plait!
I'm insanely jealous of you and your NYC trip! Everyone is mentioning it and I wish I could go. I'd love to meet you and so many other lovely bloggers. I need to enter that Chictopia contest!
you're so lucky you are going to the conference I can't go! :( have so much fun though I see you're speaking! good luck!! & I love your outfit, those tights are wonderful
I agree with you about blogging, most of my friends don't share the same interests as me in fashion and old movies so seeing other people who actually like the same things you do makes me kind of happy and giddy. That Chictopia thing sounds wonderful, wish I could go! Hope you have lots of fun there and bring back lots of pictures! Also I love your outfit! Your jacket is adorable and those tights are so awesome!
I so hope I can go! It's times like these I wish I had a financier who would just give me money to do the things I want and go the places I dream! Haha.
I love the jacket paired with that red dress. I've been wearing the same cardigan for days on end, this makes me want to branch out..
I feel like I've already talked about how I love your outfits; but really, what I'm giddy about is Chictopia.
I haven't really been INTO fashion until relatively recently in my life, but now I love it so much that just reading about why you love connecting with a larger community got me excited too! It would be awesome if you blogged to us about your NYC trip!
I so want to go to Chictopia 10. Like Delightfully Tacky I totally need a financier to help me out with these things. Please vote my looks up and leave me comments so I stand a chance of attending. Oh how I would love to go and meet all of you girls in real life. Starting this whole fashion photography has been one of the best things ever in my life. You girls all are so supportive and sweet and I am inspired everyday by reading your blogs and seeing your outfits. It has been amazing to connect with a community of fashion lovers because like you I don't have too many real life friends who share this interest.
nice plug for chictopia, and i agree with your sentiments about blogging in general. the internet has opened up numerous possibilities to connect with others and see what others are doing around the world. we get to see things and talk to people we wouldn't have otherwise met twenty five years ago! i'm quite grateful and could wax poetic about the internet for ages.
anyways, lovely outfit. your use of red is top-notch.
Ho I really love more and more this jacket!! With the red dress it look like a circus outfit, it's great!! And you have so pretty shoes too!! Kisses from Paris! ;) Pandore
the whole look is great but i am especially enamored with the ring on your middle finger, the shoes and that bag! and the tights! oh, i just can't decide it's all so adorable!
First I have to say I love the jacket, I love the militar jackets and this is one is especially cute. I think I know how you feel, when you talk about fashion and no one gets it, but it's great when you find sites like these one and talk with people with your same interestings. Lovely outfit, have a nice day.
I wishwishwish I could make it to the summit, but unfortunately living on the other side of the world makes it impossible. It would be so great to meet other bloggers, and like you said, people that share similar interests with me that I just don't have around in everyday life. Also, your jacket is so cute :)
you are so right about chictopia! it's the perfect outlet for our wants to talk about fashion! i've also found out a lot of fashion blogs through that, like yours! loving your outfit too! the red dress is so lovely and is such a great color! i loooove your tights too!
I am so excited for you about the Chictopia conference. One of my goals this year is to get on Weardrobe and Chictopia. I just think they are both great ways to connect with other bloggers :)
And this might be one of my favorite outfits on your blog!
How fun that you are speaking at the conference! That is awesome! I wish my company would send me but blogging about beauty products isn't on the main list of chictopia. Too bad because I feel that beauty product and makeup are equally important to women even if a lot of those in our blogging community don't wear as much product as some in other blogospheres!
I find your perspective so interesting BECAUSE fashion isn't a large part of your daily life. You are one of my very favorite bloggers for this reason. I just wrote an article about how fashion blogging (though I've only been at it 6 months) informs my dayjob as a writer -- I'd love it if you'd check it out. It's linked at my blog.
wow! Ilove this outfit, especially the dress, and the amazing tights! And that jacket is perfection, the cherry on top! I adore your blog, and I would be honored if you'd visit mine! http://madeleine-thestylechaser.blogspot.com/
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. I'm so excited to actually SEE you and meet you in person! I'm way too excited. I've never been to NYC before either, so that'll be an experience in itself. I'm looking forward to lots of things including you in the future! :D
I keep meaning to tell you how much I love your gifs. It's such a great idea! And the one in today's post was going perfectly in time to the Metric song I was listening to.
I love your braid, girl! And I'm super excited about Chictopia10, too! I thought it was only for the winners of the contest, but I got an invite so I think I'm going? Haha... can't wait to see you again! :)
I finally got on chictopia and am still learining the ropes... I know I say this every time you wear those tights but: THOSETIGHTSARESOEPIC. Simply awesome. Also resisting the urge to repeatidly tell you how much I love the airplane ring. Oops, I guess I just did. guess my self control didn't work to well... -indigo
I want those tights so badly! It's so sad that all those blogger events always seemed to be in the US :( I kind of tried being active and fashion communities but I failed. I am already active in a german community which is not mainly fashion related, but anyway, I have met wonderful people through this site and I wish I could see them more often.
i love this outfit as usual!! u always look effortless chic!! so regarding this chicatopia conference i hope u dont mind me asking u can win a place my entering on their site but did you get asked to go? I joined lookbook but i dunno if i like it that much maybe chicatpoia is better? friendlier? sorry for all the questions!! u should a Q&A post!! :) magpie-girl.blogspot.com xo
Sounds like an amazing opportunity. I agree and love how the net connects people from all over the world. It's just so great knowing that so many people have the same interests, but totally different backgrounds!
I really loved hearing your thoughts on Chictopia.. all of it is so true. So amazing to be able to connect with so many people all over the world on something you can't connect with anyone you know.
The steps in these photos are amazing and so fun! Added a nice touch to your photos and your outfit was so quirky and fun.
Wow, this is the first I have heard of the chictopia event, mostly because I have completely dropped off any radar in the last few months. That sounds fabulous! I can't wait to hear about it!! I actually for 2 seconds thought about going until I realized I can't go that weekend. Woo!
LOVE YOUR OUTFIT. And I believe the reason why you started your blog goes for many bloggers. I've been keeping track of shows since NYFW Spring 2008. this outfit is so cute! my laptop died a while back and i lost all my 'favourites', ie. all the blogs i follow! it has taken me a while to find them all again, thank god i have stumbled across yours again!
i know what you mean, none of my friends seem the least bit interested in runway trends or fashion... it makes me feel a bit superficial to talk about it as a lot of them are into 'serious' things like international development and the environment! it's so nice to be able to talk to people from all over the world who share your views :)
