My wardrobe seems to resemble a black hole recently, but temperatures suddenly returning to what they were in December and snow flurries in my area seems like reason enough to dress in mourning. Where is the spring, I ask you? With this new chill in the air I'm striving to stay warm while resisting all those heavy winter coats I'd like to permanently retire. Hats do lock one's body heat in and I am lucky enough to have recently received the Ella hat from Hats in the Belfry. It's wider and more dramatic than the hats I usually wear, but I rather like it. It has such an interesting vibe to it.
Off of hats and on to law schools: I'm not going to state the name of my potential choices online because frankly, I am not the sort of advertisement universities are looking for! One summer I worked in the Admissions office of my undergraduate university; this taught me that with the onset of Google alerts, your university can and will receive an e-mail every time they are mentioned online. While I doubt any mentions here would jeopardize my position at a school, there is a lot to be said for being allowed to live and study in anonymity. I will say: I am looking in the South, because I am quite tired of long winters and snow. Pennsylvania was quite enough for college and I escaped from there for two semesters in warmer climates. I have no ties (since I have been moving every few years since birth) to a particular location, no "home to call my own" as it is, and I've only been in Washington State for less than a year now, so really anywhere in the country is an option...I rather like being this rootless wanderer that gets kicked around from place-to-place. I suspect my future law school will end up being in a state I've never lived before.
