The days are beginning to get long and golden here. While I'm not very pleased with dawn shining into my windows in the early morning, I do love the late sunsets. Once summer starts to heat up dressing interesting and not melting into a puddle can become difficult. Wearing you hair atop your head becomes more of a necessity than a style choice...but oh for those summer nights, no? I feel as if the best moments of my life have happened on summer nights: looking for seals at sunset by the water, hanging out at swing sets with friends, even finding a quiet, isolated place to look at the stars. An endless existence in balmy, summer sunsets might get boring after awhile, but I still think it would be epic.

I love your idea of summer! In Texas it gets almost too hot to get outside. I also wish we had your scenery here.

I feel like most of my favorite memories happen on summer evenings as well. There just seems to be something more magical then than at any other time!
ReplyDeleteI love the location you used for these shots. It looks so swept away and forgotten, but that almost makes it more beautiful.

I like your array of rings that you wear in all your posts, and I also like the colour of your nail varnish. Summer looks lovely over there, shame it's not so great in the UK!

Sweet dress! I love that shade of blue with the color of your oxfords. I've been loving blue and brown lately; reminds me of blueberry pie, or something.
ReplyDeleteSwingsets on warm summer nights are the greatest. I've had some of the best conversations there. :)
Beautiful photos and dress!
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying the longer days myself, but I'm actually quite partial to the early morning sun coming through my window. I love waking up early and laying on my bed reading with my window open while the sun streams in.

ReplyDeleteIf the summer here weren't so miserably hot and humid and wet with freak thunderstorms, I'd probably like the summer, too.
ReplyDeleteBut there are things about summer memories. Most of mine, other than getting engaged and married, really suck. But those two are pretty damn spectacular!

Mae Lu, thereafterish.

ReplyDeleteoh gosh rebecca. oh gosh. this blue beauty! i absolutely adore it on you - it seems like something really fresh for you, the shorter length, the silky fabric. those sock garters are incredible!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable dress!
ReplyDeletethat dress is so pretty! i love that shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, you couldn't be teasing me more. I live in Australia and it's just going into winter here, meaning reeeally short days. It has to be the one thing I hate the most about winter because I love when it's like 8 at night and it's still warm and sunny.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also could never have enough little blue dresses. That one is really cute.
