I love Pere Lachaise, I have a strange fascination with cemeteries and that one is so beautiful and haunting. Its like once you get lost in it all sun goes down creating a truly eerie and effective atmosphere
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying all the posts about your trip. You're taking such beautiful pictures!

If you're passing by London again, you should definitely make it to Highgate Cemetery, it's the dreamiest place I've been to in the whole world.

ReplyDeletewell as creepy as this may sound, those graveyard shots are great!!
Beautiful photos and romper!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the cemeteries in Paris. We stayed in a lovely small hotel across from the Mont Parnasse Cemetery where many celebrities are buried. Each grave reflects their personas.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying your posts. :-D
I love the photos you have been taking on your trip, they are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYour rings are also gorgeous!
love your rings!
ReplyDeleteI actually did get lost literally at Pere Lachaise in April with some of my classmates, it's quite a haunting place now isnt it :D
ReplyDeleteHmmm, never thought of taking photos at a cemetery but that's interesting... Doesn't it scare you just a tiny bit?

There is a particular moment in Paris Je T'aime which focuses on the deteriorating romance between a couple played by Emily Mortimer and Rufus Sewell... They were arguing about the lack of romance in their lives, sparked when she kisses Oscar Wilde's grave. At the end of it, the man sees Oscar Wilde's ghost, and he inspires the man to infuse more love and affection into the relationship, which in effect, saves them as a couple.
ReplyDeleteGreat.
This is a romantic kind of sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the city, as you say. Here the leaves are changing, and I want to take a solemn, quiet walk around the cemeteries here, just basque in the falling leaves and reverence that fills those hallowed grounds.
XX.
Mae Lu, thereafterish.
Just reading the title of this post made my heart flutter... I dream of someday visiting Pere Lachaise. One of my all time favorite poets/musicians rests there... the one and only Jim Morrison. <3
ReplyDeleteLove the whole outfit you're wearing here; jumpsuit, shades, shoes and bag :)

ReplyDeleteI've always found cemeteries to be a place full of mystery and serenity, a great place for a photoshoot, if one isn't into superstition...
ReplyDeleteYou have the best collection of rings. I love all three that you're wearing.
Thank you for sharing the trip photos, they are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNow you made me want to go there, too ;)
I love your Outfit, too, you look very pretty!
Did you find Oscar Wilde? I spent hours trying to find him. The map was hardly any help. Apparently his tomb is covered in lipstick kiss marks.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! I was there 6 years ago, but my camera was not as nice as it is now! I wish I had these great shots!
ReplyDeleteps. cute outfit for a day walking around and exploring!

ReplyDeletehaha, mental, I was there on wednesday. it's awesome, huh? xx
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband and I toured Pere Lachaise it was cold and rainy, and I imagine that's the best weather in which to tour a cemetery. We were also a bit hungover which added to the glum mood of the place. I'm really enjoying all your photos of the trip (and the style of your travelling wardrobe!)
