My second day in New York started off with a lovely breakfast at Nine West. The store was filled with new styles, fashionable bloggers, and yummy bites to eat. It is actually quite difficult to eat and mingle and try on shoes at the same time, but of course we made it happen!
I must say, I will attend so many events when I learn bloggers I enjoy reading will be present (unfortunately invites rarely post a guest list!). Visiting New York always affords you that opportunity to meet people whom you have been reading for ages and luckily, this breakfast was a perfect example of that. Chantal of Cocorosa and Caroline of Fashion Squad were hanging out together and trying on more boots than I could keep track of! It was really awesome to meet Patrice of Afrobella (a blog slightly new to me, but I've really enjoyed in the past few months!). Keiko also breezed by looking as friendly and sweet as always.
Rather predictably, Erin and I ended up eyeing some of the same shoes; largely because both of us don't own basic closed-toe black heels and Nine West had a great pair. Luckily, we both walked away with different pairs. I'm quite excited to wear my new desert heels from their Vintage America collection.

ReplyDeleteyou look so lovely in that fae wreath! and i could swear those shoes were from zara, they have some very very similar, but i guess they're burgundy colored.
Yeah, you and Calivintage really do have similar styles as far as individual items go, but the way you wear your clothes is always fresh and different. I can't wait to see how you style the shoes.
ReplyDeleteHave you had the opportunity to attend any shows yet?
What shows are you the most interested in this week?

Mae Lu, thereafterish.
Keiko looks beautiful and Erin's eyebrows are epic! Love all the gorgeous girls you got to socialize with. So envious! :)
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your fae wreath is so lovely. It was nice to meet with you at the blogger meetup and hear about your travels. Thank you so much for organizing that, it was good to hang out with other bloggers and get to know each other without the distractions of networking! I always enjoy your posts and it was such fun meeting you in "real" life. I hope being home is nice and relaxing after all the fashion week madness!
