I quite like wearing jewelry, especially rings, but my jewelry-wearing always starts to wane in the winter months. Mostly this is because metal grows cold so quickly and one brief venture outside into chilly weather turns my rings into icicles that make my hands unbearably uncomfortable. The other day we had slightly warmer temperatures and I couldn't resist building an outfit around my necklace from my sponsor Kellyssima. It's such a lovely, ornate piece and I really enjoy the color of cabochon pendant. Most of my outfits start the same way; built around a single item.
P.S. My sponsor is offering a 15% discount code; enter "theclotheshorse" in your message to the seller at Kellyssima's shop.

What a great bag! You look lovely as always. I know what you mean about jewelry in the winter - though I'm like that with everything in the winter. Hate to be bothered. I just want to stay warm. S peaking of which - aren't you so ready for Spring?

ReplyDeleteThat blouse is amazing!!! I've been searching for something similar to go under sleeveless dresses. I would nominate it for a fashion staple!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so cute and stunning. And how do you manage to find tights that match your hair color. Just perfect.
ReplyDeleteWe featured you on our (German) blog. Please have a look:

The blouse with the necklace look extremely cute, and the belt finishes the look !
I never build my outfits around a single item. I wish I could be that creative, but I never have been in terms of dressing. I'm just not imaginative enough.
ReplyDeleteMy outfits are purely functional based on weather. Usually it starts with the question, "Is it warm enough to wear pants or a skirt tomorrow?" If it's not, then it'll be "Which will make my muffin top look smaller? Pants or a skirt?" and from there my answer determines if I'm wearing man pants cuffed high (my go to) worn with leggings or tights under them, slim high wasted pants, or a flouncy skirt with 2 pairs of tights belted high... the other stuff just kind of falls around those two functions.
I feel really stupid when it comes to dressing whenever I read my favorite bloggers and their thought process for things. I'm far too pragmatic in my dressing methods. I wish I could be as creative as you.

IRYC (in reply to your comment at my blog): I do have muffin top, but I hide it strategically with high waisted pants or skirts and belts. It's not very big, because, like you, I'm quite small/short/petite, but it's there. Since I don't photograph myself on my "fat days", people just don't know! HAH!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same as you are. I hate making decisions. If you ever see me in the skincare department of any store when it's time to choose a new skin cream/eye cream/serum/body moisturizer, I'm in there reading labels and trying to remember all that was said on product review sites, mulling over which is most important, and which will benefit me best. I swear, I sweated two weeks ago over a new night cream regimen (2 products!), I literally did sweat, and spent about 20 minutes in the aisle before my husband came looking for me and told me to just pick anything so we could go home. I ended up returning it a week later and doing the same thing over again at both CVS AND Whole Foods.
In short, I know what you mean regarding making decisions and limiting choices.
