My summer essentials have become my denim jacket, tote bag, and this little fedora. The hat and jacket are only occasionally possible in this heat, but I like the sort of casual vibe they add to an outfit. I've never really thought of it before, but I do really like my summer outfits to feel a little less pulled-together and proper than my fall/winter ones. There's just something about summer that calls for things to appear relaxed--even when they aren't!

ReplyDeleteLove the dress. Love the shoes. Perfect summer outfit!
ReplyDeleteI <3 your hair!
ReplyDeleteYou belong on a boat on the Riviera or Thames or Danube or something, having a band serenade you as you drink a juice or cocktail (I know you don't generally drink, right?), with your hair flipping in the lazy wind and your face getting spray from the river.
ReplyDeleteSomething serene and relaxed like this gorgeous outfit.

That dress is adorable, the color looks killer with your hair.
ReplyDeleteBeing new to your blog I've been looking at some past posts of yours as well. I think you look amazing in the variety of purple shades you've tried. They suit you perfectly!
ReplyDeleteOkay, please explain to me how your hair still looks good in the summer! It must not be very humid where you are now.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, an adorable outfit and wonderful pictures. Where ever you have moved to is absolutely beautiful too. I'm loving the new location pictures (though I do miss the beach ones!)

@Mallory, actually we've had like 75% humidity (wish I was kidding). my hair looks frizzy to me in these pics, but it is naturally very straight hair, so it never changes too much.
ReplyDeleteI love this! The shoes makes this outfit just perfect and the color of that dress on you is just lovely!
