I've come to the point with Saturday Remix that I can't remember which pieces I've showcased and which I haven't...after a brief look through the remix archives I don't think I've shown this dress in a Saturday Remix before. I only got this dress last fall from Trashy Diva, but it's easily become one of my favorite dresses to throw on; it's the doris mini (which in my opinion, is an excellent cut & fit for petite girls). My essentials in a "throw it on and go" dress seem to be: pretty movement, a-line skirt, and easy color palette to mix and match with.
The fisrt pic is wonderful. The dress is beautiful & for sure, easy to coordinate. My favorite mix is the second one, love the pattern mix.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so cute, I love these remixes they give me lots of ideas xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the movement-- it looks like so much fun to wear! And those first two pics of you are incredibly pretty... xx
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca!! Just curious your always smiling in your photos, does that come just natural or are you thinking of something that makes you smile?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous, it does not come super naturally; I'm not very smile-y in real life, but it has started to come naturally to the photographs because I'm usually laughing at myself while taking them. Like, twirling pics--they show the movement of the dress, but they're also ridiculous, so they make me laugh at myself while I'm taking them and then usually there's a smile in there. & I take non-smiling pics, but they usually end up looking really dour, so I don't use them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I draw inspiration from you.
ReplyDeleteThrow & go dresses are my staple in life. Love this remix!

hey just curious what tripod do you use? i mean you take these pictures yourself right! its amazing! i would love to take these pictures myself too cause im not very comfortable around others taking it for me~
ReplyDeletedo you literally have to bring along the hugeee tripod to take your pictures! thanks ^^
I love your dress, it is so beautiful. One of my favourite aspects of your style is the fact that you are able to create many different looks with the one item. This is something I want to become better at since I usually only have one outit for each item.
ReplyDeleteLove how different this dress looks in each post! Very inspiring!!

@Anonymous, my tripod is my dad's old one from college & it extends up to 60" in height, but collapses down to small size. I don't know the brand b/c it's been rubbed off over the years. It is rather heavy to lug around all day, but if I'm actually going somewhere far I have to take my car and then I can leave the tripod in the backseat. Other than that where I take pictures is really close to where I live, so it isn't a burden to carry it--and since it collapses to a small size, it's mostly the weight that get to me after a time.
ReplyDeleteIf your camera isn't heavy, a gorillapod would be a nice option. It's small and lightweight and you can wrap it around a pole or tree branch to get a different height.
thanks you are so sweet :3
ReplyDeletei'll put your suggestions to good use! i don't drive! i'll most probably cycle :D
You have a tumblr tote bag? What!
ReplyDelete@Mallory, yep! they aren't selling them, but they have some for the people who work there & when I visited the offices they gave me one. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this one with You on sand ! :)
