I love the darker palette of a fall wardrobe. Navy and maroon are two colors that just appeal to me so much; personified they aren't the extroverts dancing on a table at the party nor are they the pale wallflowers willing themselves into the background. They never tolerate small talk. Navy sounds like Lauren Bacall and maroon likes to slow dance by herself. They don't make an entrance, but for some reason once you notice them your eye will keep wandering back. Surely there are secrets in their shadowy depths; past adventures dancing in their eyes that they won't recount to you.

ReplyDeleteDarker wardrobes seem very popular with the European set, which is right up your alley, anyway.
