I carry the ocean home with me; a small dune of sand collecting in my purses and shoes, broken shells filling my pockets. The ocean is vast, the sands are countless for every subtraction we make its beauty and size is undiminished. With every visit to the shore there's still so much left to take away with you...

Beautiful words to match a beautiful dress. The dress goes perfect with the ocean as a backdrop and you've definitely got me longing to get out of my landlocked state to see some sand and sea!

Ohh I love your shoes, I have a very similar pair but one shoe is ruined because of driving. Damn the clutch! I now have separate driving shoes to avoid this happening ever again x
ReplyDeleteLovely dress. Simple in it design, but elegant in execution. Just like the ocean.

ReplyDeleteOut of all the bloggers I've ever had the pleasure of reading, only you are indelibly bonded to the sea. I could never imagine you anywhere away from big water, it is spiritually connected to your very being.

that's a super dress. see how perfectly in line the sleeve stripes are to the body gosh i love that. just been reading about the oceans myself in bill bryson's a short history and wow undiminished alright. to think the ocean is on ave. 3.86km deep and the Atlantic comprises 23.6% of the Earth's water. we wander across the seemingly vast shores and finger through many thousand tiny grains of sand. and i try to comprehend both as being on the same scale which just leaves me.. well feeling quite diminished actually.
ReplyDeleteWow its wonderful dress. I like all your pix so much. This dress suits you perfect. I like this cloth fabric and pattern so much.
ReplyDelete... and then they have to come bringing truckloads of sand to dump off due to erosion. Too bad sand doesn't stay put better! Lovely little nautical look here ;)
